Atal Medical and Research University, popularly called AMRU and earlier known as Himachal Pradesh University of Health Sciences, is the first state university of Himachal Pradesh. AMRU Admission 2024
AMRU Admission for different UG and PG programs depends upon the score obtained in the entrance examination. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS, MDS and MD/MS must clear NEET UG, NEET MDS and NEET PG, respectively. For admission to BSc Nursing/Post Basic BSc Nursing/MSc Nursing, individuals must clear the AMRU Nursing Entrance Examination, followed by counselling.
- AMRU MD/MS (Ayurveda) Admission depends upon the score obtained in the AIAPGET examination.
- For other courses, such as BSc in Medical Technology and BPharma (Ayurveda), the scores obtained in entrance exams conducted by the university are accepted.
- The HP NEET counselling will be conducted for admission to 85% of State Quota seats of the MBBS/BDS program offered by the university.

In my time there was an entrance test of Aayush which was conducted by HPU but now for admission NEET qualified students can apply. Candidates must have appeared in the NEET and have minimum qualifying marks for admission.

This college has constantly provided good Doctors and also every year the university toppers come from this college. But I would also like to mention one thing that is the building is very small as compared to any medical college. Every year through NEET students enrol here, according to your NEET score, you get admission. I was getting many other colleges & all Deemed University but I chose this college over all the others because of the following reasons : - Staff here is good, - No ragging, - Beautiful place with cold weather throughout the year, - The degree of HPU is very reputed all over India. - Less Populated and less polluted area, - Very fast developing area, - Many famous doctors studied here - Affordable place to live - There are many historic Places here like a jail of 1847 turned into Museum now - No crime on Student ever reported here, - Only an hour distant from both Chandigarh and Shimla, While selecting the college, I also got to know about this college from Collegedunia.
Course Curriculum Overview:
My opinion is about the course is better. And our exam structure is very tight because our teacher is very strict. No cheating chances in the exam. And the college life is with the of fun an with unfoget able moments.
Admission:
Positive facilities of our college includes the availability of well design infrastructure of the college building. The building includes badminton court, equipment for cricket, table tennis, volleyball and many other indoor games. The students are provided with various facilities like ragging cell, complaints of caste discrimination cell. There are also library, seminar hall which makes our college the overall best college of Himachal.
