Remarks

- Government College in Chandigarh- Affordable Fees (27-30k per semester)- Location of the campus- Being Diploma Student, you get directly admission to 2nd year after LEET exam- Placement was pretty decent- Faculty was good and infrastructure was pretty good.- Extra Circular activities like dramatics, music, arts, NCC, NSS clubs- Hostel Facilities with food in campus- The quality of peer students

Course Curriculum Overview

- Course Curriculum could have been better, practical exposure was less.- There was no industrial exposure by college. No industry visits, no sessions etc.- Faculty was not upto the mark. Less experienced and they were on contractual basis.- The Laboratories were also not well equipped and most of the machines didn't work. So, lack of practical knowledge. - The placements were good for CSE & ECE but not for Civil and Mechanical

No, you have a 6 months training. But college won't help you get that, you have ti look for yourself.

Placement Experience

Placements for CSE & ECE is good. Companies like Infosys, TT Consultants, Clicklabs, 42 Works, and 15+ companies recruit students from CSE & ECE. They offer packages from 3 lakhs to 8-9 lakhs. Placements for Mechanical & Civil is pathetic. There are only 2-3 companies for both mechanical & civil for placements. They also keep on changing. Like Honda, Denso Haryana etc. Alumni Network is not good as there is no constant meetings or contact with them.Few startups like Raahi, TEDX Chandigarh, 42 Works etc are from this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is scholarship for top 3 students and category students. I have availed scholarships in EWS category. I've got 25% of my tuition fees as a scholarship every year.Top 3 students get scholarship every year.SC/ST & category students also get scholarship.

Campus Life

- Campus Infrastructure is good. Now, the college has 2 blocks. 1 for Mechanical & Civil and other one for CSE & ECE.- Library has all the course material and books. You can issue 2 books at a time. Library has 3-4 computers as well. - Wi-fi was decent. It worked pretty well in the campus. - Equipment in the labs wasn't updated, also most of them did not work- Sports ground have volleyball court, basketball court, cricket/football ground- Pathshaala - where all the campus events happen. It is small area to chill and regularly have campus events to participate and enjoy during break times.

Hostel Facilities

I've visited the hostels. The room has 2 students. They are decent with fans and separate almirahs for both students. It is on merit basis. It is not difficult to get seat in hostel. Mess food is satisfactory and canteen is nearby as well. Average PG Rent - 7-8k per room for 2 students. Approximately 7-10k including food, travel etc.

Great exposure, Learning and Placements at CU- A well rounded experience

Placement Experience:

I am a recent graduate in computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. i took admission in CU just because of their excellent placements for the computer science students and what i feel is during my journey they provide i'll not say 100% placements that they guys claimed but yes the placement is really good. the average package is of 7-8 lpa and they offered placements globally like in hyderabad, pune, banglore, noida that are considered as best places to work in IT sector. but in my last year i.e 4th year i have been offered a position of software engineer intern in gurugram and that was off campus so i grabbed that opportunity. and there is one policy of chandigarh university if you opt for off campus placement then you get debarred from the TPP campus placements of chandigarh university and you will not be able to sit in the campus placements of chandigarh university. rest overall the campus placement is good.

A placement facility is provided by the college. There are special classes for students so that they get prepared for the placement drives and interviews. Eligibility criteria are different for different companies, the minimum is 60%. Various companies like Amazon, and Wipro visited our campus and the package is based on the companies. The average package is 4-5 lpa.

The admission process was very time-consuming as it lasted for more than a month but it was ok and the admissions are based on JEE mains all india rank score. Okay so for getting admission in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology Sector 26 Chandigarh 1st you have to give JEE mains exam for that exam you have to attempts in a year provided by NTA. After giving JEE mains exam you have to apply for Jack Chandigarh counselling that takes place after the JEE mains result has been declared they are total free rounds for that Chandigarh counselling and after the three rounds there are some rounds for spot rounds. If you are looking to get admission in computer science or electronics plans then you have to achieve at least 5260000 rank in JEE mains if you come from general quota and other state there is 85% reservation for students that are in Chandigarh and 15% for other state quota. So as another state quota student and as a hostess and as a computer science student I would recommend you to achieve at least 50000 to 60000 rank if you are looking for CSE or electronics branch in our college....Read More

CCET- an decent college if you want to learn and discover yourself along with knowledge

Firstly,one should have appeared and scored decent marks in JEE MAINS and have to apply through JAC CHANDIGARH counselling and opt for this college. And should have 50% or above in 12th The application for gets out around after JEE MAINS session 2 and can be found on google easily.
