Remarks
This college has a very good crowd which attracted me the most. Also, the annual fee of the college is very affordable and we can easily manage our monthly expenses there. The admission process was very slow till last year when it wasn't online. I got to know about these vocational courses which sounded like something different and interesting which no other college in DU has, therefore, I took admission in this college. Being an HRM student, I feel like I made a good decision. The teachers are supportive and experienced. The thing which should been changed in the curriculum is that we get a work environment in college as well; not just books and rote learning.
Course Curriculum Overview
This course; BA(VS)Human Resource Management, was my first choice because Economics and Psychology, both have been my favourite subjects till 12th and I wanted a course which has both. I got it and I took it. The faculty is experienced and helpful, but exceptions are always there. All teachers don't care about your performance and will do their job and leave. It's in every college. What matters is, how hard you prepare by yourself.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities provided by the placement cell is beyond amazing. We get paid and unpaid internships both through a regularly updated whatsapp group. The placement cell members are also very helpful and they guide us through everything and I too, got many calls for internship even in my first year.
Placement Experience
I don't know much about placements because I'm still in my second year of college. But, we have Aspire, which is a totally active placement cell of the college and we get regular updates about internships from there. There is placement portal for the final year students on their website as well. The highest package last year was for 12 lacs and that is pretty amazing after graduation. The average package is around 4-4.5 lakhs per annum. The internship opportunities are also good and we have a bunch of options to apply to.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fee is very affordable and anyone can easily get into the college without a stress on their pockets. Also, we have Aspire, the placement cell which regularly keeps us updated with internships and placement opportunities for final year students, which is very helpful as well.
Campus Life
The campus isn't that big, but the social life is awesome at CVS. We have a bunch of friend groups and people who're a lot of fun to be with. Also, we can make new friends at the college societies, which play an important role in your college life. You should join at least one society for a full campus life experience. I'm a part of Carvan- The Travel and Tourism Society of CVS and currently the Content head for the session 2020-21. The society is more like a family and I enjoy being there.
