Remarks

I have already listed a lot in previous questions. You can have a look.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum has a mixture of IT and the subjects that are meant for the branches I mentioned. Since we have an IT college, the culture there is driven towards coding and there isn't much scope for research and innovation. I have always felt that science lacks there as students look out for placements and take admission for that sole purpose. I agree placements are 100% in our college. But there should still be a culture of research and innovation. Since they have 3 departments there, it shouldn't only be focused on coding but other things that matter. Exam structure kept on changing. In our time, we were admitted to integrated course for bio medical but it stopped in between the year and it was changed to a dual degree course. It was pretty hard to handle as we were given something which we didn't opt for. People say it's good since you can opt for coding based placement for role of SDE etc. But what I feel is that due to this coding culture, people are lacking innovative approach towards education now. I did not get any help from my college from start till end. This is my true review. Professors are not helping. There isn't any culture for applied sciences but they have still opened that branch. People run after coding. Students themselves say that all they want is a job and settle. How will India become atmanirbhar then? I agree that jobs are important. But there is no environment for innovation at IIIT Allahabad. Also they don't give much attention to curriculum whatsoever.

Placement Experience

5

150+ companies visit our college -list you can easily find online. 100% placements. Average package 20 lakh. Highest 45 lakh. Many students get out campus placement from reputed companies such as Google, Microsoft, etc.

College Events

2

Technical festival (Aparoksha), cultural (Effervescence), management event also. But all events are irrelevant. People don't learn anything. This is the harsh reality of colleges. If you are looking out for reviews about placement, you will get a lot of good points. But if you want the reality, there is no culture of innovation. Students literally prepare themselves for placements and they don't use their brain anywhere else. All these fests are there only for the sake of it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees at our time was 60000 (tution+hostel+all other charges) + 12000 (mess). For new students the fees had been raised now. I think it's expensive. Considering that they don't have proper labs, equipment are not working. Many problems. So i believe fees is expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i didn't receive any scholarship. The college don't offer any scholarship opportunities. No information on this with me. I have given you all the truth and real information. I don't know what you wanted from this survey the reality or the good things which are fake. If students come here only for placements, this is nice for them. But you can never expect anything else from here.

Campus Life

Campus life is nice. IIIT Allahabad is beautiful. Gender ratio. Few girls. Only around 1000 including all years and batches. Labs are nice but equipment are not working properly. Extracurricular are not nice at our college. This is a serious flaw we have. I hope someday it changes. That's why i have opened a society like a technical club at IIIT Allahabad for promoting innovative approach towards education among students.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. hostel rooms were nice in this college as student strength was less at our time. However, now seats have been increased so in the coming years you'll see a drop in the quality of rooms. Average rentals is 12000 for single room. Per semester.

Alumni/Alumna

No one helped me. I don't know about other students. Students have connections i guess. They rely on them because these seniors come for recruitment during placements.

Admission

I opted for this course as my father sent me here. Biomedical engineering and electronics have a very wider scope towards research and development. He wanted me to stay aligned to the medical field as well. Moreover, for PSUs there are a lot of opportunities for ECE students. Even though I got a seat in other colleges such as DTU, NSIT, and that too computer science engineering branch, I preferred IIIT Allahabad due to the environment and the varied branch it offered. The admission process was entirely based on your rank. Since my home state was Delhi, i got a seat at IIIT Allahabad from other state category. There were total 4 rounds and a spot round for counseling. But I got through by the first counselling to my choice of branch. I think the results were out by May and the admission process got over in June, I think.

Faculty

2

Not nice. There are around 100+ faculties in our college. Age starts from 30+ till 60. All of them have PhDs from IITs across India. Some old faculties are even from MSc backgrounds as we have applied science department at our institute. No, they don't hold any industry relevant experience or certification. They are more inclined towards academics and research.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite comprehensive and relevant to current industry and academic standards. The inclusion of practical modules and case studies attracted me as it provides hands-on experience. Teaching methods could be made more engaging through the use of interactive technology or blended learning approaches.
