Course Curriculum Overview

B. Tech food technology is a professional course which has the duration of 4 years and follows semester system. The course structure is very good and flexible. Also, the course involves various research and practicals. The days are filled with learnings and exams are also tiring.

Placement Experience

There are internships and also job opportunities for the students. The Placement cell conducts many programs for the development and enhancement of the students. The students are also prepared foe the placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the B. Tech food technology is around 1 lakh 60 thousand which is very feasible according to the demands and popularity of the course among the students. The course also has bright future and so the fees is affordable and feasible too.

Campus Life

The college is very good in its extracurricular activities. They have various sports activities like football, basketball etc. Cultural events, seminars, exhibitions, fest etc are also held. The infrastructure is also good. The environment is also beautiful.

Tech food technology is offered by the institution to the students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Indian Board. Then they will have to appear for the entrance exam. Based on merit, they will be selected.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I applied for icar reservation through CUET examination through which I had a confirmed admission in GADVASU Ludhiana but, i preferred CSKHPKV, Palampur because it is loacted in my hometown and it has the course i was willing to take.
