Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is good as there is an equal focus on theory as well as practical. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it covers all the basic concepts but as far as the depth is concerned, it is very difficult to reach in depth in the span of 6 months. Also, there is not much focus on the research activities.

Internships Opportunities

As far as internships are concerned, no one can beat VJTI. 75% of the class in Computers and IT get internships. The companies which come for the final year placements also hire students for internships and give them Pre-Placement Offer. The average stipend per month is around Rs.25,000.

Placement Experience

5

Placement in VJTI is the best. More than 90% of all the branches are placed. As far as Comps and IT are concerned, the placement in 100%. The highest salary offered is around 25 lakhs and the average salary for all the branches is around 6 lakhs. Few companies visiting the campus are Google, Microsoft, Samsung, SAP, Barclays, Citi Corp etc.

College Events

4.5

Technovanza- The annual Techno-management event of VJTI. One of the largest technical festival of India which is under the patronage of UNESCO. It is the biggest event of VJTIPratibimb- The annual cultural event of VJTI. It has various singing , dance and cultural activities.Enthusia- The annual sports event of VJTI.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. It is a government aided college with the fees which is considerably less than other colleges of Mumbai Universities. The average fees is Rs.50,000 which is about 50% as that of the other Mumbai Universities college. Also various scholarships are provided to the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarships offered. Majority of them are for the backward class categories. Also there are some on the basis of merit. One of them is JRD Ratan Tata scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is really awesome. The infrastructure is humongous. There is a basketball court, a football ground, a cricket ground etc. The gender ratio is about 1.5 : 1 for boys is to girls. There are many extra-curricular activities conducted on a national level at Technovanza like Robotics competition, debate etc.

Alumni/Alumna

VJTI Alumni Association is a committee which is formed for this purpose. There is an alumni meet every year in the month of December. The VJTI Alumni are very very helpful and they renovate a part of college every year.

Exam Structure

There are two in-semesters test which is given a weight age of 30%. There are two exams on 1 day with 6 exams completing in 3 days. The exam is of 30 marks each. Also, we have one end semester test which is given a weight age of 60%.The pattern is that we have 1 exam every alternate day of 100 marks .

Faculty

3

There are some faculty which are exceptionally good and have a very good knowledge in their field but also there are many faculties who are ordinary. So VJTI is in need of good faculties who can have in depth knowledge of their subject. So that they can teach the students properly and answer their queries.
