Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very detailed and has a large variety of subjects that cover all the basic educational purposes. The college encourages us to participate in the college activities and research work.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities can be improved. Some departments offer placements and they hire only the best students so there is a lot of competition in that regard. The packages offered for the placements are very good for freshers however.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the college is very cheap. The fees per year is only rs. 1,720 and the total fees for the three year program comes to a total of 5160, which makes the college within reach of any person.

Campus Life

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is one of the most active clubs in the college and they always accept both boys and girls. There is National service scheme (NSS) also, and eligible people can opt for it as well. They carry out a lot of social work in the college.

Admission

Once you have fulfilled the basic eligibility for your desired course, you have to go to the college's admission portal and upload your documents and fill all the details. Once that is done, you have to submit it.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is very good and they are always willing to help us and solve our questions. They are very well qualified as the college hires on the basis of UGC guidelines and they are always using new methods of teaching.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.
