Remarks

Overall experience is average with the college curicullar activities and cultural events are good but the studies and cooperation is not up to mark still need improvement in every aspect i will advice everyone who want to take admission first to seek information from the other students studying in the particular stream and keeping every perspective in mind before taking admission.

Entrance Preview

Given iit JEE after +2 but for ME i have not given any entrance just a casual interview before getting admission in university i was given choice between vlsi and communication system and i chose communication system as according to my interest.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course includes 2 years with semester system including 5 subjects in first 2 semester and 2 subjects in 3 rd semester and research work in last semester.major project in 3 rd semester and seminars to improve the skills and providing teaching experience to students.the elective subjects are to be choosen in each semester from the list given.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is not provided to students only placements are provided and training is to be arranged by stuents themselves no stipend provided to students. Students have to arrange 6 months and 3 months internship by themselves.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement programme is well for BE sudents but not for ME students as the salary offered is same for BE and ME students although college donot allow every student to sit for placements only students who gave fee for sitting in placements are provided service.

College Events

4

Chandigarh university is famous for its cultural fests.a lot of punjabi singers, celebrites, bollywood celebrities keep on visiting the campus technical fests once in a year is celebrated in university which includes events such as coding competitions, project-o-mania, and other technical amnd manangement events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible for ME students but for other streams like B.Arch, BE the fee is huge one thing is the university charge 10-12 thousand every semester as a building charges which is not charged by other universities in the region and the bus charges are not feasible it is too much in comparison with the distance and facilties provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarships are provided by students who are good at studies and also to the weaker sections, sc/st scholarshipminority people are provided scholarship and the meritorious students are given scholarship according to their marks, e.g.80-85=20% in tution fee, 85-90=25% in tution fee, 90-100=50% in tution fee.

Campus Life

4

Campus life in terms of facilities provided is good but assuch the crowd is not good.extracurricular activities are good as different clubs such as green club, robotics, sports , music are provided to students gender ratio is not biased,no discrimination regarding the race, sex, class equal oppurtunity to all section of students is provided.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

As i am day scholar still i have some info regarding this the hostel facilties are good, includes proper security facilty for girls as well boys hostel and food is hygienic, dispensary facilty provided 24*7 wardens at every floor and proper homely atmosphere experienced by students talking of PG's from my pont of view the places nearby is kharar and it is not good place to live so in comparison with PG i will advice to take hostel facility.

Alumni/Alumna

As i have only spent one yaer tillnow in the college so dont have anyinformation regarding the alumini network so cannot say and comment on this field.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is too hectic for students and it is like burden on students to cope up with it 1st sessionals one hourly tests2nd sessionals 2 hourly tests, 3rd quiz one hourly mcq paper which is onlinefinal exams 3 hourly test and a lot of surprise tests uring class hours, viva, assignments donot get a week free from exams during the whole semester and the marks of all these are added on to final result.

Faculty

2

Talking about faculty i am not satisfied with the behaviour and experience of faculty as freshers are appointed to teach ME students and they are not at all cooperative and they embarrase and demotivate students seen the HOD of electronics department donot have sense to talk to students speak sin pure punjabi and she tortures students even she uses abbusive language with students.

Teh campus placements are not that good for this course. It's good for BTECH students but for Mtech it is not at par. Till now for my batch hardly 5-6 companies came for internship out of which hardly 4 took the candidates.

if there are no backlogs student first gets a chance to be placed at a good company as an intern after 2 sem internship usually is for 3 & 4 sem. College makes sure you get a great company with high stipend and ppo offer also. after the internship completion either the student get placed at the same company or the placement drive also begins from 3 sem only where you can apply and get interviews with the organization

Course Curriculum Overview:

You will get many opportunities to furnish yourself as the faculty members are too supportive. You will get to know many conference on daily basis that can upheld your boost and make you morally supportive. Doing masters there would lack of strictness as they thought your are grown up, they considered you only for exams and other circulum activities. University should seriously take in action the role their teachers are playing as they sometimes bunk many classes. Exams are not that tough as you would require basic knowledge of your subject.
