Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum designed by the university is quite good. It is based on both research and practical applications. The duration is of 2 years and we have semesters in every 6 months. Daily schedule was quite tight for me as I had to do all assignments, projects and complete journals.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is quite average. The college do provivde training oppurtunities to students. Mostly research based organization choose M.Sc Physics students. Many students including me do managed to get an offcampus placement. Alumni network will help a lot in getting internships.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fee for 2 years is around 10,500 Rs. This covers your tuition, admission, and all other miscellaneous fees. Comparing to other universities, where it can be around 40-50K, this is quite feasible.
Campus Life
We do a lot of extra-curricular activities like playing different sports. Apart from that, I follow my hobby of sketching. We have different clubs here. We host our own fests and sports week. We also celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm.
Admission
After B.Sc, I thought of going for higher studies and chose to do M.Sc. I gave the entrance exam to the university. Students here are selected on the basis of merit list(60% from graduation marks + 40% from the entrance exam). The rest of the process is quite simple once you get shortlisted.
Faculty
The faculty is highly qualified and have good experience in teaching. Most of the professors are friendly and easy-going while some old ones are quite strict with their assessment. We also have a few guest lecturers who are quite good.
