Good Institute for Marine courses.

The curriculum is divided into six semester which spreads over three years. The curriculum includes the study of combination of both theory and practical, training, laboratory project, field work, workshop, ship and industrial visit. The institute conducts Internal Assessment and final examination. Examinations are based on both theory and practical papers.

More than 90 pecent of the students got recruited in the campus interview. The placement and job opportunities is very good in our institute. Many shipping companies like United Ocean Ship Management, Herald Maritime Service, MMS Maritime, Gulf Energy Maritime service recruit students from our Institute. Students are provided with very good salary packages.

The fees structure is expensive. The total fees of the three years course was around 8,00000 lakh rupees. In the first year we have to pay around 2,80000 lakh rupees and in the second and third year we have to pay around 2,60000 lakh rupees yearly . The fees is expensive as most of the students are not managable to pay their fees.

The institute provides many scholarship facility to its students. Scholarship are provided to the meritorious students depending on merit and financial background of the students. Many bank also provide educational loan with very low interest to the students who cannot afford to pay their fees

Extracurricular activities are very good to develop our personalities and talents. The institute organizes many activities like plantation programme, blood donation camp, workshops, seminars, games and sports, annual function, Alumni meet every year. The institute encourages and motive us a lot to participate in all the activities.

Admission in this course is fully based on merit. After qualifying my higher secondary examination, i choose my career in this field. The minimum eligibility is minimum 60 percent of marks and 50 percent of marks in English language in senior secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board.

The teachers of our institute are very co-operative and polite. They try to clear each and every doubt of the students in their studies. Teachers rely not only on theoretical knowledge but also gives equal importance in the practical knowledge. They teaching skills were very impressive and excellent.
