Gettings shows and theatres are quite easy when you are from NSD. It has a great brand value in the industry, and due to alumni and recommendations, it's quite easy but one still has to work hard for maintaining the standard. The pay scale varies for different shows and theatres, so one cannot give a fixed rate. But, you will surely have a bright career ahead, if you are from NSD.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees are 5,730 Rs. for three years which is very cheap. It covers your entire tuition, admission, and student union fees. I was from Mumbai, so I had to go for a hostel which costs me around 27K annually.

Campus Life

We have a lot of festivals going throughout the year as this is a part of our training. We have Bal Sangam, Bharat Rang Mahotsav, Jashnebachpan, Sunday club festival, Delhi International Arts Festival & Octave, and much more. We also play sports and do workouts to maintain our physical and mental health.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is top class. All my seniors are in top-notch theatres and have a good connection in Industry, which helps in getting work easily. The seniors are also quite helpful in guiding and sharing their experiences.

Admission

I have an undergraduate degree in Comp. Science(B.Sc), but as I had more interest in acting, so I chose my passion. Getting here is quite a challenge, as there are a good number of applicants. There is a specialized entrance exam, and after clearing it one had to appear for a 5 days workshop, where they will select the candidates. One need to have a minimum of 6 theatre experience. Do get a recommendation letter from a theatre, as it helps a lot.

Faculty

5

The institution is considered as one of the best acting schools in India, so one can guess about the faculty. They are cream of the corp, with all experience and detail knowledge about theatres and acting.

I feel like the curriculum is a little out dated and boring but due to a good faculty it makes the course more worthwhile The curriculum is very text based and less practical and more emphasis on bookish knowledge persists still .

As per I've heard, placements here are decent. I can't say for sure because I'm new here. About my plans, I am doing CFA side by side because I don't believe that a bachleors degree has any valur of it's own, one needs to pair it with something else.

As a person who wants to build a strong foundation in both economics and mathematics, B.A.(Hons.) Economics was my first choice. This course not only provide valuable insights into how real world economics work, but it also has great career prospects. Students studying economics major actively take consulting, research, risk management as popular career choices. Since this is a practical course with a broad focus on mathematics, the difficulty level is from moderate to high.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.
