Remarks

National School For Drama is the best when it comes to dramatics. Going to NSD has to be the best decision of my life. You can't compare the quality of knowledge that you get at this college with any other college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is great but you need to keep yourself motivated because this course requires a lot of hard work it is not something that you have to learn and just write the course is about understanding. There are different subjects of study that are covered like Directing,Production,Acting etc. Many workshops and guest lectures are conducted in which the renowned personalities are called. The curriculum covers every dimension of the theatre with indepth knowledge .There are number of assignments and projects that that are included in the curriculum. The exams structure is nothing different from any other university. The final assessment is done on the basis of the projects and assignments and also marks scored in the end term examination.

Placement Experience

3

No, The college does not provide you with placements or any internships. But if there are requirements in the industry and you are suitable for it then they might tell you or guide you to apply for it but as such there is no internship that is given or is necessary to be done .

Fee Structure And Facilities

A college with the best of the faculty and so much exposure has a fee structure which can be next to nothing .This is a government institute because of which the fees is not very high. You have to pay the security deposit and admission(RS 150) and tution fee (RS 150). No other college can offer you this much exposure at such a low cost.

Campus Life

The extracurriculuar activities are great .There are a number of workshops and seminars that are conducted . Everyone is encouraged to participate and their is no biasness on any basis. The labs and equipments that are required are there for a better understanding as well as for the practical knowledge.

Admission

To get admission in NSD you have to be the best because their is a lot of competition. To be eligible for the course you should have a graduation degree in any stream.First you need to feel an application form which is available on the official website of NSD. The admission procedure is conducted in two phases. For the first phase the applicants have to go through an audition for practical test in any of the centers i.e New Delhi,Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru. The applicants who qualify the first phase are then called for the second phase which is a workshop that they have to attend for four to five days. The final selection is made on the performance and the attitude the student towards this course. Moreover Travelling and dearness allowance is provided to the students selected for the final round.

Faculty

5

The faculty is highly reputed with a lot of experience in their respective fields. NSD has the best faculty than any other college for theatre and dramatics. They have a lot of skills and first hand experience of working in the industry.Nobody can guide you and teach you better than the faculty at NSD.

I feel like the curriculum is a little out dated and boring but due to a good faculty it makes the course more worthwhile The curriculum is very text based and less practical and more emphasis on bookish knowledge persists still .

As per I've heard, placements here are decent. I can't say for sure because I'm new here. About my plans, I am doing CFA side by side because I don't believe that a bachleors degree has any valur of it's own, one needs to pair it with something else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a person who wants to build a strong foundation in both economics and mathematics, B.A.(Hons.) Economics was my first choice. This course not only provide valuable insights into how real world economics work, but it also has great career prospects. Students studying economics major actively take consulting, research, risk management as popular career choices. Since this is a practical course with a broad focus on mathematics, the difficulty level is from moderate to high.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.
