Remarks

Students from entire North East Region used to come to JB College. Many also came from northern province too. The feasibility, faculty and the campus were the centre of attraction for the students. I owe to college for everything that I am today.

Course Curriculum Overview

I loved the course curriculum. It was quite upto pace, neither too slow neither too fast, it was just set at the perfect pace. The exams were conducted semester wise with some minor exams in between. Oh! Don't fear, they will never feel hectic, they are quite easy.

Placement Experience

4

I am the living witness to prove the placement opportunities this prestigious college offers. I am a respected lawyer today in North Eastern High Court! If you have the passion, JB college is guaranteed to guide you to success!

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at that time was around 12000 approximately per year for 5 years. To make it easier for you to compare, some law colleges charge 50,000 per year in some places. The quality of education was just the opposite vis-a-vis fee.

Campus Life

A number of extra curricular activities were done. Apart from special attention to sports, many cultural programmes were also conducted. Debate competitions, poetry recitations, these all were also given attention.

Admission

I passed my 12th examinations with 70% marks and then on a recommendation from my friend, we both applied for the college. An entrance exam was conducted with quite simple questions, and we both passed! After that the admission process was very smooth and simple.

Faculty

4.5

Everything that I am today, I owe it to the teachers here first. Specially Mahajan sir. He was a retired judge and used to teach us law. Other teachers were equally qualified. They made the exams easy and fun for us! It's because of them that we never felt burdened by exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specifically , i choose the course LLB is because i wanted to become an advocate which is such an honourable profession . The faculty does prepares us but it is us doing the 99% effort and a student like me who is a first generation lawyer finds hard adjusting to the new course . There are lots of rooms for improvement like upgrading the classes to a digital class room where students gets to learn better . Also , the college environment is too conjusted and it finds hard to adjust to the conjustion . Exams usually are an average papers since i mostly prepare my papers in advance .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for the LLB course because its more of a personal preference for me. I've always felt like being a lawyer i could do something for the society. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications as we have internship programmes and moot court experiences. According to me having the moot court compulsory from the first year itself would have been more helpful. The frequency of exams is perfect as their isnt any excessive pressure on students nor does it allows the students to laze around.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is structured in such a manner over the 5 years that we get to learn aspects from both the areas, i.e., Bcom as well as Law. The bare acts are taught in such a manner that we are able to grasp it effortlessly.

Placement Experience:

You will be given an internship from the 3rd semester here till the 10th semester. But campus placement is not available here. You have to work hard to get a job of your own. Nothing is like someone will come and pick you. Elders will prefer you will pick.

Remarks:

Every place has its pros and cons. It is undoubtedly one of the best colleges but the faculty can't help you if you can't help yourself. The moot courts which highlight any law college is equally popular here but you need to show your interest to seniors and teachers.

Remarks:

I was a part of this college for 5 years and I know this college well. This college should have an auditorium for conducting seminars and there should be College week so that the students can take part in various competitions. Moreover the library has insufficient books and most of them are outdated as new editions of those books are available in market. There are very limited books. Library doesn't have Manupatra, SSC online etc.and the computers are outdated. The administration is average they fail to respond well at times. The best thing about this college is that it secures 1st position in University results.
