Placement Experience
The placement is decent enough. You get an average package of 5_6 lakhs per annum through in campus placement. Two of our students secured AIR 5 and AIR 9 respectively in the recently released Merit List of South Asian University. One of them would be joining the Legal Studies program at the prestigious University with Merit Scholarship (Full Tuition Fees). Another final year student has been offered admission to the prestigious LLM program in Queen’s Mary University situated in London, United Kingdom. The recently passed-out batch has got convert offers for LLM from Berkley Law School, Cornell Law School, Kings College London and School of African and Oriental Studies, London. Five students of NLU Assam have secured top ranks in CLAT (PG). One student has been offered job by Wadia Ghandy & Co. The rest are preparing themselves for UPSC and Judiciary exams The college however does not provide for internships you have to find it on your own.
College Events
The college conducts a literary and a sports fest in alternative years. Other then that two national moot court competition are held each year. Other cultural activities and festivals are being held at regular intervals or at special occasions.

Fees and Financial Aid
No loan or scholarship is given by the University. However you can avail loans from outside and also scholarship. Fellowship can also be availed. Being from an NLU its preety easier to get fellowship and also scholarship.
Campus Life
The only department i which the instituition lacks a bit is that in extracurricular activities. Though the University has great infrastructure it lacks proper sporting facilities. However stadiums are being constructed and is estimated to be completed by 2022
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for hostel. The hostel is great. Better then most other colleges in India. It is clean and well maintained. here are two hostels one for boys and the other for girls, with single and double occupancy, with smokeless kitchen, spacious dining area, reading hall, gymnasium, yoga , prayer hall and library room, etc. In order to facilitate the overall growth of its students, the University has developed a congenial and homely atmosphere in its residential campus. The students belonging to different cultural backgrounds amalgamate to bring forth a sense of unity even while retaining their diversity thereby presenting a true picture of the saying, “Unity in Diversity”.
Alumni/Alumna
Personally I feel the alumni network is not very strong as the instituition itself is not very old. It has very few alumni. However those few alumni are very helpful. The seniors are great. The help you in all sorts of academic and non academic matters. Although in the first few days they tend to be a bit strict but later on they become more like family. It's more or less like a family.
Admission
The only criteria to get into NLUJAA is to crack CLAT and get a rank above 2000. The application for CLAT generally begins on the first of January and ends on the 31st of March. The exam is held on the second Sunday of May. The course for the entrance comprises of GK, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Maths and English.
Faculty
The faculty is ok. Not all faculties are expert in there respective subjects. However there are a few who are a true blessings to the instituition. Being situted in the north eastern part of India the instituition faces some provlem in recruiting highly experienced faculties.
