Its a govt college. Every process takes 10x time. College needs to fund student projects and needs to encourage them more.

Aieee, 9152 rank national. 150 state rank. Frankly, this was the best college I was getting into. Also, mechanical engineering is what I wanted to do, hence I chose it over other courses like IT and electronics

The course curriculum felt outdated, and I realised that once I went for my industrial training, we weren't taught courses needed by the industry. We barely had electives, and majorly the electives were divided by 3 categories, thermal, solid mech, automotive and operations. But they came only in 4th year, hence we weren't really able to take up courses and shape our degree like we'd want to.

I did my training at Honda, most mech companies don't have a stipend. Training was brilliant, learnt a lot about management apart from the general engineering related stuff

Placement and job during our year was low(prelection year), however it picked up next year and we get a range of opportunityies from core and non-core companies (majorly consultancies and kpo's)

We had 2 fest during my time one cultural and one tech fest. The level of fest's was alright, we had approximately 30-40lac budget. Most of it from sponsors. Not as grand as an IIT fest. Comparable to DCE, thapar type.

Fee was cheaper compared to similar private colleges. But they've been regularly increasing the fees. Hostel fees was incrwsed during our time. Overall it is affordable.

Every branch topper had the fee waivered etc. Economically weaker students also.got scholarships and even job opportunities (library etc) sometimes.

Pec is known for its clubs and so cities. That's the best part of the college. We literally had an event every 2-3 weeks. However, financial support from college is meek. Everything was based on marketing

4/10. The food improved after 2 years. Internet was bad. Rooms were old. Some hostels had badminton courts etc. Commong rooms were equipped with TVs but there should have been more commong rooms.

Alumni network is weak, but is being developed. We have an alumni meet every year which is mostly attended by pre90 batches. Alumni network need to be buffed up

Exams used to get over in a week. One after the other. We used to have 2 mid sems on one day. so that was hectic

Faculty was okayish. Old govt college profs mostly. Hardly interested, which acted as a deterrent for all of us too. Also there was a lack of faculty which led to removal of electives from curriculum
