Remarks

Though the university was able to place most of the student in IT companies but the university was not able to bring core companies for the campus placements..

Entrance Preview

AIEEE conducted by CBSE. As it was a central government funded university I opted for this university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was a 4 year/ 8 semester course. The syllabus of the course was the same as followed in different IITs across the country. The electives were satellite communications, Artificial neural networks, MEMS, Optical fibre communication.

Internships Opportunities

The internship was very great and we were given industrial training in different industries and PSUs. The stipened for internship varies between 8000 to 10000 depending upon the industry. Different industries were Vidyut Yantra Udyog, BPCL, IOCL.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement were mainly in the IT based companies. The different companies which gave the students opportunity were Accenture, TCS, Infosys and Tech Mahindra. More than 70 percent of CSE and ECE Branch were easily placed in these companies.

College Events

4

Techxetra was the annual technical festival which was organised annually by B.tech and M.Tech students. Srijan and Tech fest was the annual cultural festival organised by MBA students and other departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was was very feasible and the charge was 10000 per semester as course fee. Apart from course fee Hostel fee was 1000 per semester and monthly mess catering fee was also 1000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Top 10 percent of the total B.tech students were given scholarships for 10000 per annum by the university.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio was 3: 1 overall ( male to female). The hostel parties were organised at regular intervals on the occasion of birthday or if the the hostel won any inter hostel game championship. As it was a central university we have students from all over the country and there was no discrimination on race, religion etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities were very good and there was 24 hr Electricity and 24 hr Wi-Fi facility. There was also amenty inside the hostel which was 24 hr open. Regarding the mess food it was not up to the mark but it was balanced as for 1000 mess charge per month you cannot expect everything.

Alumni/Alumna

2011 passing batch was only the second B.Tech batch of the university. So the alumni was not very strong and we have very few B.tech Seniors who had passed earlier from the university.

Exam Structure

The course was based on semester system and apart from semester exams mid- semester exams and weekly class tests were conducted time to time. Lab tests was conducted at the end of the semester and passing in the lab exam was mandatory.

Faculty

4

All the faculty members were minimum M.Tech qualified and many were Ph.D from IITs. The faculty who had done M.Tech were also enrolled in Ph.D from some IITs and they were doing part time Ph.D.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute. The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.
