Entrance Preview

TUEE 2007, PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, The score was not given in the notice board. The area of research is very good.

Internships Opportunities

The internship I did in the same University. I got offered Rs. 5000 for the whole internship. Following companies has come to the University. Jhaloni Technology , HCL.

Placement Experience

Most PhD students got placements in different academic institutions and Industry like Kaziranga University (6.0 lakh), Cotton College State University (State University Scale), GIMT (5.5 lakh).

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was good and feasible when I studied. Admission Fees: Rs. 8500Semester Fees: Rs. 4500. There is no other fees for the whole semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had been offered a national level fellowship, CSIR Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). I felt that it was the best fellowship achieved during the period.

Campus Life

The campus life was beautiful. I had attended in different events like Hostel Parties, Debates Competition, Robotics Competition, Coding Competitions.

Exam Structure

The examination was conducted in semester-wise and also took progress in each semester. Each semester has two types of examination: Mid-term and End-term examination.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty was upto the mark in their standard. The laboratory facility was good and effective as it was a doctoral course. The faculty was tried to give more details to the students.

Good aspects: 1. Closer to hometown 2. Conducive Research Environment 3.Similar exposure and facilities to other old IITs Bad aspects: 1. Lesser public perception due to not being oldest IITs along with the geographical location of the institute for people of other states of India except North East 2. Lesser departments and schools that facilitate maximum inter-departmental researchAdmission Process: GATE score for shortlisting for written test followed by a written test(syllabus of which is primarily of GATE syllabus of respective disciplines). Further shortlisting is done to call for a final interview based on the performance of the written test.Admission Schedule: Admission in PhD happens twice a year date of which can be seen on departmental/institute websites.

Remarks:

The college management is very strict. The management tries to clean the campus on a regular basis to maintain its naturalness. As the college is situated far from the city, regular bus services are there on an hourly interval to the city. There are security guards at almost all the corners around the campus to observe if any unfair activities going on which protects the students.

How tezpur University looks like

Firstly a government college is always a government college. It is better than spending lakhs of money in a private college. Here you can complete your btech degree same as the one you could get in nit in just 3 to 4 lakhs which is cheap. And education is good here....Read More

The admission process was quite smooth, the university takes admission for Ba and Bsc through CUET UG and for Btech through JEE. All the admission details are provided on the university website. A look at TU for MBA program

TU is a central government university and the ambience is majestic out here. I personally like the university very much as it creates such a bond, you would have memories forever.
