Lifetime opportunity to study here

GATE , My Score was 436 in GATE 2012. I opted for IIT Guwahati because it is one of the premier institutes of India. Its great to study and do research work here.

My college internship included the presentations in various conferences, summer schools etc. I went to Hong Kong as indian representative for presenting my research work. Am an MHRD fellowship holder and my stipend is under the MHRD fellowship and it is INR 28,000 per month.

Placements and job opportunities are very good. People from my branch are placed in pioneer institutes such as IIIT, NIT and IIT's. Apart from this, People are also placed in L&T, PSU's etc.

Fee-structure is feasible , not expensive at all. It is different for different courses such as, B.Tech,M.Tech and Ph.D. For me it is around 19,000 quarterly.

MCM scholarship is given to students who belong to the economically weaker section. I have not availed any such scholarship.I have no idea regarding the loan system also.

If i have to say about my campus life in one word then it would be "Spectacular". Labs, sports, extra-curricular activities, all are of a very good status. The greenery,cleanliness of the institute makes it the nature's abode.

Exams are not a burden. Regular studies and classes do enough job for studies. Labs are frequent for me. my research work totally depends on the lab work.

My faculty was highly appreciative and helpful. His research ideas are focused towards the proactive management of solid wastes. He is highly innovative and is one of the pioneers in waste management.
