Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Army College of Medical Sciences provides only one course that is bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery which consists of 19 subjects, so this is a little bit harder subject course as compare to other medical courses.

Placement Experience

4

In this college, there are a total of 100 seats for MBBS. In our batch, there are 48 boys and 52 girls. A student with an MBBS degree in Delhi is offered a salary of about Rs. 45,000- 60,000 per month, and it varies from state to state. So there is not an actual amount which is offered. In this college, none of the companies will hire you. You complete your degree, and after you can do an internship at the base hospital, then join a hospital in the private sector or a government sector. The doctor is the final role offered. There is nothing like a salary package offered in our course. The internship is from the base hospital and VMMC for 6 months..

Fee Structure And Facilities

when i studies in this course the fee structure was not too much high for this course. the college take annually fee approx 360000 Is annual tuition fee with 19000 for hostel management fees. and college also provide a loan facilities for the students .

Campus Life

4

The college also organised events like annual ACMS day celebration, annual sports week etc., and the students from other medical colleges of Delhi, AFMS and other army institutes are allowed to participate and enjoy the fest conducted by army college. Under the ESSI scheme, the college offers Rs. 40,000 as the scholarship for the top 12 students of every batch.

Admission

when i got take admission in this Army College of Medical Sciences Delhi MBBS admission was entrance-based. The course duration of MBBS is four and a half years with one year of rotating internship compulsory for all the students.Qualifying exam: NEET UGCandidate must pass Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate in PCB stream with English as a compulsory subject

Faculty

4.5

Teachers here are well qualified and helpful. They teach very well and give full support to the students to perform well. All the tutor staff members are MBBS, and some have also done PG degrees. They help the students not only in studies but also in other matters like emotional, social, and financial. In this course, there is nothing related to industry material.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has been revised in 2019 and the new curriculum (CBME: Competency-Based Medical Education) is all about patient-based approach and clinical approach which is very amazing since that's how we'll be dealing with patients in real life. The faculty of Lady Hardinge is amazing as long as you're willing to learn. The practical sessions especially are the best since you get to see everything you've learnt in theory. The syllabus is very vast and it's very difficult but you can do fairly well if you go through it consistently. The term exams are held before each semester and after every year you need to give professional exams also known as 'proffs'. You'll have to pass the proffs in order to be promoted to next year which is very easy if you have a grip on the basics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college has 4 to 5 permanent faculties and 2 faculty from the base hospital Delhi Cantt. in each department. That is 1 teacher for approx 15 students. The teachers are all super specialised in their respective fields and mostly all are very efficient in teaching while following the latest MCI guidelines. there are a total of 4 exams a student has to give mid-term, end terms, pre-proof and proofs. The exams are all designed to ensure that the passing students are eligible to be called doctors but not so tough as to fail a lot of students. An average result has about 15 fails in 100 students

Remarks:

I did my MBBS from NDMC Medical College which was worth it. The college has great education system with a good faculty and nice campus with a green cover. The college has a hostel but it is not as good so I would recommend staying outside campus. The training programmes and practicals bring in depth to studying at this college.

Remarks:

There is no negative news about this college, everything is best here. Few points on aiims -*College management is also perfect. *Faculty members never tried to shun their responsibilities with respect to teaching, research and patient care. Senior students were required to teach their juniors on a regular basis, even in OT's (operation theatre). *Get together were organised during celebrations of important festivals which included admitted patients. All religions were given importance.
