Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital was established in 1996. The College has been accorded Hindu Minority Institution Status by the Jammu & Kashmir State Government. The college has three departments of medicine. These departments are manned by the highly qualified team of doctors drawn from different parts of the State and the Country. At present, there are 108 Specialists working in different departments assisted by about 100 Senior and Junior Resident Doctors and Tutors. The College offers MBBS, MD and MS courses.

Admission:
There is a neet exam to get in the medical college. I got 572 points in the neet and after doing the councelling from the jkbopee I got this college based upon my marks in the neet exam which are 572.

- Campus area is sort of large, allowing one to roam freely and inhale the aesthetics of college.
- The administration of the college is on the better side than the previous one.

- The college can use more lab and practical framework.
Admission:
After 12th, I appeared for JEE and NEET-UG exams.
From JEE, I secured a top seat in NIT, Srinagar for Computer Science engineering and applied for admission. But my mind was somewhat inclined towards the medical field, so once the results were out, I chose ASCOMS as my college for pursuing MBBS.
The admission was pretty simple, I was guided by the college administration after the counselling list was out. Entry is solely by NEET-UG, cut-off stays around 630 these years.
The admission is stress-free, the real grind is in the degree, but that's obvious, after all we're becoming the future doctors.

- The college does discriminate on basis of your identity.
Admission:
I choose this college because of the affordability and distance from my home over other private colleges and also keeping in mind it has one of the best PG selection ratios in the state. Compared to other colleges it has a better PG selection ratio but it lacks extracurricular activities and other stuff. The admission process is quiet simple you just have to follow the Bopee instructions as they conduct the counseling

Admission:
I applied to JMI new delhi for bsc biotechnology. But at that time I got selected in mbbs course in ascoms so I didn't enrolled for jmi.
No I didn't get any rejection
For admission first through NEET-UG then u have to undergo state counseling of j&k under JKBOPEE .
Cutoff goes on increasing every year . In 2024 cutoff is around 600

Admission:
The NEET UG examination is a really tough exam to crack. More the marks you get more you have the chances to get into a nice medical College. I have got a decent school and thus got admission into this college.
I also consider taking admission here because of the good quality of doctors and teaching staff and the ample opportunity of learning

Course Curriculum Overview:
It is good actually. After ever semester we have to appear for the exams which after qualifying one can join the next semester. Also one should have to appear for the practical exams conducted by the college authorities.

Postive - our college provides the best faculty and educators. The best learning experience and learning facility is jammu is from our college
Negative - there is less patient load than govt hospital and sporting facilities are also less.
