SLN MCH Koraput Admissions

The Admissions to SLN Medical College,Koraput are purely based on the marks scored by the candidates in NEET [National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test].The candidates wishing to take Admission in this college must register themselves for NEET Counselling. The registration process consists of two rounds.

How to Apply?

Firstly one should fill the Application Form through the Official Website.
Then during choice filling, one must fill the preference of Colleges as per his choice.
After the whole procedure, seats are allocated to the students on basis of the merit list prepared and choices Filled by them.
The students will have to report their respective colleges,with all the required documents.
In the second round,the same procedure is repeated. But the number of seats in the second round is lesser than the 1st one.

A brief About SLN MCH

Admission:

Getting a score 597 in Neet 2022, I have applied for all the colleges in Odisha as most of us would do. The top 3 colleges i.e, SCB, MKCG and Burla were out of reach, after that my 4th priority was SLN MCH koraput over Balasore and Baripada due to connectivity issues from my hometow, also I've got some news of unavailability of faculties and some basic facilities. Sundergarh and keonjhar being the new colleges, I didn't opt for them as it would take some time to get all the resources and necessary equipments there required for praticals. Seniors play a important role in your college life, be it you personal, professional or social life. That's hwy considering all the circumstances I froze my college in the First Round of Counselling itself

Since it's away from any political drama from the looks out it there's lack of funds and development for years since it established whereas colleges in the cities are moving forward
Campus could have been better. there's lack of playgrounds and other extra curricular activities related equipments.

Admission:

I applied for some other colleges but didn't join them just because my score wasn't good enough on the NEET examination. The admission process idls based on giving an all India based exam called NEET (UG) and admission are based on merits.

As a student of SLN Medical college and hospital, I can confidently say that this place is amazing. The city itself is absolutely beautiful with amazing views and landscapes that make you feel like you're living in a hill station.

Dislikes

Another thing is Koraput is far from the hometowns of most students. There's only one train to Bhubaneswar and two trains to Western odisha, which makes travel a bit inconvenient. This can be a concern for those who prefer frequent trips to home

Admission:

All the government medical colleges accept NEET scores. So everything come down to NEET scores and your rank in the exam. I got the college through state quota. Out of 8 government medical colleges, SLN MCH, Koraput was my 4th option after the 3 top colleges including SCB MCH, MKCG MCH & VIMSAR, Burla solely because SLN MCH had hospital conveniently located across the road. I didnt get into other three college because of their high cutoffs. You've to appear for NEET which is a national level exam of three subjects including physics, chemistry and biology. If you're applying through All india Quota, the rank must be within 18k and if you're applying through state quota, it has been varying from 600 state rank to 850 state rank ( or AIR 20K - AIR 29K). Talking about marks, the last year's cutoff was around 650 marks.

I got this college according to my rank in NEET - UG. This college is not too old. In 2017 1st batch of MBBS had started. If you want to study in government medical college you have to clear NEET- UG with good marks. In 2022 if you get 600 marks out of 720 you may easily get the admission is government college. Cuttoff vary form state to state its depend on number of colleges in their state and number of students preparing for exams.

The seniors are good, they help you in every aspect.

Dislikes

There can be better mess and fooding facilities.
The infrastructure can be better, it's not upto the mark.
People have to go through a very hectic schedule.

I applied for some of the good colleges in this field but I couldn't get a seat there. The admission is done by OJEE, a government authority that controls the admission for almost all the professional courses in odisha.

I have had applied for all govt medical colleges in my state, you get colleges on merit basis im NEET exam. Every college has a particularcut of. NEET is not everyone's cup of tea, it requires perseverance consistency n harwork, the college you get is your reward. The admission procedure if either from state quota or all india quota, purely based on your Neet score.

Koraput is also widely known as Switzerland of odisha

The college is campus is very short area as compared to other colleges
The hospital and college washroom is not hygienic

Admission:

10+2 with PCB (50% marks ).You have to apply for NEET UG,on NTA official website.If you have reservations then u get a seat by easily.Admission into MBBS course by qualifying NEET UG cut off mark for general is 602(air-28k approx)according to neet 2023 cut off
