Remarks

College is quite good but administration don't give caution money to you ever

Entrance Preview

I cleared jkcet exam and got 179/225 and I left behind by 3 marks to get admission in govt college. So I got ASCOMS as its my second preference

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is tough first year n last yr is toughest faculty is good some teachers are topclass others are good only If ur sincere teachers will help u a lot For making concepts and understanding the stills better. So all in all faculty in good

Internships Opportunities

Internship is the great time for me as I learned a lot during this period. I saw some rare cases treated them n it felt quite Good. My stipend was rs.5998

Placement Experience

3

I got an offer as Junior resident doctor in govt college through NRHM but I rejected it as I HV some bigger plans to achieve in future .

College Events

3

We celebrate many events like world health day, aids day, sports week, etc. Around 50-150 students participate in it Our college auditorium can hold up to 200- 300 ppl so celebration is not so grand but its just OK

Fee Structure And Facilities

They took too large a fee My fee was around 1.4lac/yr. I think its too high as I got that by qualifying entrance exam. But my fellow colleagues who got admission through management has fee around 2.83lac/yr

Fees and Financial Aid

Nopes our college don't five scholarship but rebates poor and backward students in fee their fee is around 20k/yr

Campus Life

3.5

My college experience is a mixed bag of good and bad memories Male to female ratio is almost 1:1 Hostel parties were grand Our college regularly send students to take part in various sports to Jammu university and organise debates during word health day etc

Hostel Facilities

3

I didn't know much as I live in Jammu so I didn't took hostel. I remained in hostel for short periods of about week. I realised mess food is not as good as home food but its OK only if eaten fresh. Rooms of students are good nice lighting n proper ventila

Alumni/Alumna

Senior CNT rag juniors in college as ragging is banned in our college but they take healthy ragging in college bus. All in all seniors help u a lot if you know them well or if they rag u often

Exam Structure

Yep exams n labs haunt u a lot during ist n last year but 2nd year is the best time period to chill out n enjoy

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose MBBS by my choice The more the practical and clinicals u perform the better u understand things rather than books . Real life experience is important I think what should be improved is that focus should be more on things that are more important for being a doctor. More towards clinical aspects more towards practical performance and less on things needed to cram Timing for exam of 80 mark is 3 hrs and is quite good enough time. 20 marks are of mcqs so total 100 mark.
