Likes

College campus is way too beautiful. Hostels are very nice. Condition is good and new.
Sports complex is astonishing having all types of outdoor and indoor sports
Study is nice. Good practical knowledge.Opd is good as well

Dislikes

Hostel mess sometimes make rubbish food.
Gym facilities are not available till now
No fest. Market is not that developed . 20 km from main jammu city.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course(MBBS) is love. This 5.5 yrs will make you a really good doctor here(but only if you are serious enough and not fail on regular basis).mid sem and end sem exams are easy to moderate. Pre proff exams are way too hard to pass. Proff are moderate

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 5586 per year

Internships Opportunities

1yr internship. Standard procedure like any other medical College with 28.5k stipend. Placement occurs in 11 departments during internship. No company will come here to pick you up ofcourse. Practical knowledge is god level in internship with duty from 9am to 5 pm or 5 pm to 9 am(shifts).

Placement Experience

You can get a job here after completing MBBS or md. Can go to any hospital or open your own. 1.5L per month is avg for a doctor. Starting around 90k a month. Internship gives 28500 per month. No batch has currently passed out from this college . Comparatively new college. 2020 batch(oldest batch) still doing internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees one time including hostel and every charge 5587 2000 refundable from 5587 after 5.5 yrs No category fee difference No scholarship by college. Scholarship can be availed by categories on giving national exams

Campus Life

No fest. Annual sports week happens with all type of indoor and outdoor sports activities. All subject books are available in library(but still not that much).AC lecture halls and labs with all essential machines required.no clubs till now. As college doesn't get involved in many activities.

Hostel Facilities

One bed, study table,almirah,and chair per person with two in a room.meal quality is not that good. Hostel Registeration done along with college registration. No PGs are nearby. No student live outside hostels provided

Hostel Fee: INR 180 per year

Admission

This is AIIMS first of all so no other state college can compete just like that(you get tag of aiimsonion). Fees is way too low. Study is way too superior than any state college. Other aiims cutoff gets higher so it becomes ideal for 2000 to 3600 rank in general category

Faculty

Faculty are good and strict. As any other medical College, faculties are not that friendly. Each year 4 exams on avg. 30-40% fail. Course curriculum same as nmc guidlines. Exams after every 3 months. Faculty of anatomy and physiology is good indeed

Night Life

Everything close at night 11pm sharp. Can go to jammu city for fun on weekends or restaurant local. Local roaming not allowed after 10 pm. Mess close at 11.pm. Gym not Fully functional till now. Library till 8pm from 8 am.

MBBS at GMC srinagar, dream to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are held on time, and for the same thing we are given tentative dates at the time of admission. But the problem is university exams(final exams), they are never held on time as the university with which the college is affiliated has cumbersome works to do, as it is the only university in the state. Difficultly level is average, MBBS as a course itself is difficult, but percentage of marks givenare less as compared to other universities.

Good internship

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our terminal exams are held every three months and in one year, there are at least two terminal exams. Terminal exams a little bit more difficult than the final exam because we have to learn everything more deeply as compared to final exams because in final exams there are a huge number of chapters that we have to cover in a short time so we focus mainly on the most important topics that you have to cover but in the terminals, this case is different as we have to learn every line by line thing, and also there is a little bit strict marking in the terminals and I would say that terminals are a little bit more difficult than the final exams

This is strictly for mobs course only, The admission is based on neet rank ( cutoff around 550+ boys and 520+ girls) Each batch has 125 students ( 50 from the unreserved cat. 25 from ewb cat. , rest other categories) The college has an appropriate student-teacher ratio, Highly qualified faculty with min qualification being pg in the respective branch. The college adopts all modern teaching methods along with the conventional ones as and when required The faculty is specially dedicated to helping to make good doctors Even midst the political turmoil in Kashmir, the college is known for timely conducting exams Also, the college provides a stipend of 12500 / month to its interns

This college is prestigious and premiere colleges of the state stoods at rank 1 among other medical colleges.Govt medical college srinagar is affilated to kashmir uniersity and is situated at karanagar srinagar.every one who scores top in entry exam prefer this college because of good exposure.

Entrance Preview:

I took the JKCET in 2008, in which i scored 181 marks out of 225, and GMC, Srinagar was my first choice because it is considered the best for M.B.B.S in Srinagar, my hometown.
