Remarks

College is good. Academically and clinically and students have a quite a good experience with medical knowledge but as with changing times newer methods of study must be incorporated into the academics

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Clinically oriented aimed at making better doctors. Although the duration of mbbs is a bit long but worthy. As you get enough time to brush up your concepts before ypu could apply them in your clinical practice

Placement Experience

3

The college provides one year internship during which the students are exposed to various clinical departments for pre residency training and helped to make better clinicians. But the placements are not available because there's no campus recruitment

College Events

3.5

Various events are celebrated, some of which include, the annual day, various cme and bioethics days, environmental days, these extra curricular activities help the students to be versatile in their academics

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. Because since it is a government college, the fee is very less and payable and affordable. So there's no big deal in paying the fee. However scholarships are not provided to the students for financial help

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't provide any scholarship but i have applied for a loan because of the huge cost of medical books, usually im thousands of rupees. So loan was the only option i was left with. Which i have to repay

Campus Life

4.5

Extra curricular activities are good. There are painting, speech and writing concerts every now and then in the college. Sports are excellent and sports weeks both indoor and outdoor games are played in the college for overall academic progress.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are excellent, and extremely helpful with the juniors and alumni are currently doing md ms or dm in various parts of the state and world and proving their mettle by becoming good physicians and surgeons

Admission

I qualifed jkcet pre medical entrance in 2014 in my first attempt and was allotted mbbs at gmc srinagar and i am supposed to finishy mbbs in 2019 followed by internship. I had secured 80% score in that mcq based test

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is great, highly qualified doctors, of specialist and super specialist levels teaching the core concepts and sharing their medical experiences. Although there is shortage of faculty in some of the departments but that doesn't reflect in academics

You can get a job here after completing MBBS or md. Can go to any hospital or open your own. 1.5L per month is avg for a doctor. Starting around 90k a month. Internship gives 28500 per month. No batch has currently passed out from this college . Comparatively new college. 2020 batch(oldest batch) still doing internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose MBBS by my choice The more the practical and clinicals u perform the better u understand things rather than books . Real life experience is important I think what should be improved is that focus should be more on things that are more important for being a doctor. More towards clinical aspects more towards practical performance and less on things needed to cram Timing for exam of 80 mark is 3 hrs and is quite good enough time. 20 marks are of mcqs so total 100 mark.
