Course Curriculum Overview

4

The college has trained brilliant students from all over India. Course curriculum as per medical council of India and it is upto the mark. The only drawback is that graduates are not not eligible for all India pg entrance examination as j&k and Andrea prudish graduates are not eligible to appear in all India pg entrance exam.

Internships Opportunities

There is no question of campus placements in medical profession. Students can either join after MBBS or apply for postgraduate on courses. After that it's upto then where to join

Placement Experience

4

As expected, scope in medical profession everybody knows. It depends which sector you join. Whether you want your own set up or you want to join private sector or government sector.

4

Yearly cultural programs. As and when opportunity is there, college is ready for cultural activities. Besides college sends students in almost every cultural program throughout India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

You have to pay 5 installments of around 5 lakh each. But fees vary as revision made by the government from time to time. In 2008 it was around 3 lakh per instalment.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is awesome. Located at picturesque hills of jammu. Connected to jammu city with college buses and private transport through national highway.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Mess provides good food to the students. Besides there are two hospital private canteens which provide food at nominal cost. There is another fast food restaurant.

Alumni/Alumna

Almost all graduates are well settled in a India and abroad. Some have their own a set up. Some are in corporate world. Overall good settlement ratio.

Exam Structure

Yearly exams in all 4 semesters followed by internship of 1 year totalling 5 and half years. It's same throughout India.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is as expected brilliant. Most of the consultants are either from government medical colleges who has taken premature retirement or recruited by college. But overall faculty is good and upto the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose MBBS by my choice The more the practical and clinicals u perform the better u understand things rather than books . Real life experience is important I think what should be improved is that focus should be more on things that are more important for being a doctor. More towards clinical aspects more towards practical performance and less on things needed to cram Timing for exam of 80 mark is 3 hrs and is quite good enough time. 20 marks are of mcqs so total 100 mark.
