Remarks

My college offers various courses that other colleges don't like. Social work along with fine architecture and a large campus. The odds that are against us are the locality of the college and the fact that it's not counted in much of the famous colleges and North campus ones. The admission process is a long one. After the cutoff is released the concerned course window person gives the admission form along with the book that makes you familiar with the college. There is little less functioning on Saturdays and none on Sundays. The vague courses offered to make it one of the prestigious colleges along with the ranking of 8th Delhi University College with the best architecture makes it even more astounding. Course Curriculum Overview

3

Ecobomics has always been my passion and to my fortune I got a chance to pursue this as my career. Choosing this course has been a great thing since I hoy some intellect teachers who taught me great and made me learnt the best. The teacher student ratio is approx to 60:40, which makes it much easier for us. Almost 45% teachers are doctorate and another are either pursuing or at some post graduate level. The teaching differs among teachers as well as courses, but the main class timing and explaination on boards remains the same. The terms exams have always been timely and there was a difficulty level with also some easy questions to pass the exams.

Placement Experience

3

From 1st semester itself, the students are eligible for internships and the third-year students are eligible for placements. There were several companies including Genpact, NIIT, FIS, British telecom, S&P global, Asahi, ISA, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more that offered several bde roles, voice offers too. The highest package was 4.5 LPA by S&P global and the lowest was 1.8 LPA by Genpact. About 56% of students get placed every year from our college. I have planned for a corporate job after I pass and further continuing the studies on an irregular basis.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike policy is nota big concern for the college and the cost to study is much normal and in consideration with all the student class. The placement cell of the college is very much active and has brought about several companies for job as well as internship with good amount of stipend and salary packages.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest is Chetna Razzmatazz and there are no such tech fest rather different department fests. They are generally started from the January end and lasts till March mid. A lot of books are available in the library of 2 floors regarding the courses as well as for increasing your general knowledge. Several fun magazines related to entertainment as well as intellect. Along with them, several language newspapers are also available. Some classes do have a projector facility while most of them have blackboards to go with. Some classes are also done in labs and department rooms. The sports society is much famous and enthusiastic about the college, but the odds are that it does not have any girls team. The cultural society includes dramatics, dance(classical, folk, and western), music, and debate society that have done well for college recognition. The social group which is much famous is Enactus that has done several good deeds.

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.
