The college is really good for engineering. I would like to give it 4/5.

The course curriculum is in consonance which the university grants commission(UGC) and the exam structure is according to the jadavpur university(it decides the timing as it is a deemed university) usuallly happens around april-may(even sem) november-december(odd sem).

If you analysis the placement opportunity here in jadavpur university it's par with any new iits Or even greater than many nits. You can compare it's placement with nit allahabad it relatively similar. On ROI basis it overtake some of the greatest iis as well ( bombay, delhi) companies that visits here are Microsoft Amazon Goldman Sachs De shaw Wells Fargo Deutsche bank Samsung Code nation United health group Texas instrument Honeywell Gail Iocl Reliance industries Vedanta and many more

There are a list of technical as well as cultural events happens every year here. Out technical fest srijan is the largest tech fest in kolkata after iit kgp. We celebrate sanskriti as our cultural fest every year. It is a 11 day fest I guess and last day used to have a final night in which renown band or singer usually comes. This year was a turn for local train. But unfortunately it didn't happen because of covid-19 pandemic.

As I have earlier said it is the best ROI engineering college in india. The fee here is very feasible. The college tuition feel in around 10k for four years it looks too strange I know you won't find it anywhere in India. The feel is acceped in cash or DD or u can pay it by debit cards. The is no addition fee incurred. The college totally provide transparency in its fee breakdown.

You don't need any education loan here in jadavpur university though the college provide some scholarship it is called alumni scholarship it is given according to your class performance and your economic condition. The average sum of the scholarship is about 12000-15000 per year.

The campus life is great here. It is located in the central kolkata. There u will get lot a amusement Activities to do. The gender ratio here in engineering is about 1/10. The campus is quite diverse as you will get to see lot of other department apart from engineering as for example science, arts, and many more.Here in Ju there are lots of societies to work for e.g Mountaineeing society is really active here, photographic club is also a good one. Music club, code club and there is innumerable number of society here. College also orients lots of workshop here. Tedx and Josh talks happens annually here. Along with that career relates workshops are commemorated.

No I have not opted for hostel. The hostel facility is not the good if we compare it with good nits or even any private college. The mess is not that good.The rooms are quite good here but again too be very Frank Senior are not that supportive in initial year during 1st year. The is no seperate rooms for every year you will always get two seniors in your room.usually it's a two ore three seater room. The hostels charges is very nominal around 200 for room rent. Mess charge is around 2000 per month

Alumni network is great here. Almost all of the alumnus are at the great places. You can see jadavpur alumnus every mnc you go.

Wbjee is the entrance exam. Now there is a domicile criteria which comes into play which os 90%.if you are from other states you should target at least 1400 rank. I gave wbjee in 2016 got rank about 1400 and ultimately got into metallurgical and material engineering.

The faculty are really great here. Usually a sense of ego comes into play when u're from jadavpur university. The teachers in some department as I remember in mechanical,civil and electrical department are really talented. Usually teachers are not that supportive in engineering college so in jadavpur university. The research activities are great here.
