Good curriculum and overall technical exposure is excellent

IIT-Delhi is active in the field of research and offers a wide scope of knowledge and implementation at various levels. Students at B.Tech level also actively participate in industrial-based projects and come up with innovative solutions that can be practically implemented.

The placements at IIT-Delhi are very impressive and mostly all the students get internships as well as job offers from very reputed industries.

The college celebrates various technical and cultural festivals which are widely enjoyed by the students and helps them to interact informally with the faculty members. The cultural fest at IIT-Delhi is generally extended up to 5 days. Apart from festivals several hostel events also take place all throughout the year

The fee structure is also very flexible and feasible. IIT-Delhi also offers various fellowships and scholarships for meritorious students. there are various startup projects also funded by IIT-Delhi which take care of the finances required while designing and implementing any practical product or model.

In case of Ph. D. course, one gets fellowship upon clearing the NET exam. For the case of PhD courses scholarship or education, the loan is not applicable.

The institute offers equal opportunity to maintain decent gender ratios and diversity. regarding the extracurricular activities, due to rich infrastructure offered by the campus, students have ample exposure for tennis, football, swimming, badminton and all the courts are easily accessible to the students.

I have availed the hostel in the first year only. The hostel fees are also very nominal. In the case of PhD course, HRA got deducted as the hostel rent, one has to pay the mess fees only. However, due to shortage of the hostel rooms, at the time one has to share the room with 1-2 students.

The institute maintains a well-organized alumni network and makes sure that they can help each other. the alumni network is widely used for posting job opportunities and alumni meet notifications.

I decided to pursue a PhD in Physics. IIT-Delhi is rich in imparting knowledge and offers a wide infrastructural advantage. At IIT-Delhi clearing NET examination is mandatory after which interviews are conducted twice in a year (in May for July session and in Nov-Dec for January session). After the interview the shortlisted candidates are allowed to interact with their choice of supervisors and with the mutual consent of student and supervisor, one can join the Ph. D. course

The stature of IIT-Delhi is mainly due to the highly devoted and impressive faculty members who work really hard to contribute to the advancement of the institute. All of the faculty members are highly qualified and have a very good research profile with is an added advantage for the students
