Likes

One of the most admirable thing is library of the Institute.
Different activities are conducted from time to time to make students full of enthusiasm.
The administration of the institute is student friendly.

Dislikes

Sometimes, it creates huge work pressure.
The food of the canteen is sometimes not good.
There is no such other thing which I dislike.

Course Curriculum Overview

Term exams were conducted every six months. It was moderate to difficult which contains questions related to theories, practical knowledge and recent issues related to education and it's challenges and difficulties.

Internships Opportunities

Every scholar has to do mandatory summer internship with the reputed government organizations such as IIPA, CBSE etc. Scholars have to work on a particular project and make reports and presentations on the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the course is 15000 for registration. 1500 for every year containing two semesters. The Institute provides immense opportunities for internships and seminars. It also provides scholarships and financial assistance.

Campus Life

The library contains a lot of books from ancient to modern day education system. Annual fest is conducted which includes activities such as dance, drama, music, poetry etc. Sports day is celebrated every year. There are different clubs like dance, theater etc.

Admission

The admission process was online as it happened during covid. I got the application form online and applied for it. Then an email from institute came providing the details of the entrance examination which happened online. It was conducted smoothly. Any problem faced during the selection process was resolved by the members of the Student cell.

Placement Experience:

Ph.D. students didn't have that many job placement opportunities on campus. Usually, students have to apply for a postdoc for further studies. Otherwise, they apply here or there for other job options. Or students generally go for Assistant professor applications in different colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses were informative. The usual faculty: student ratio varies from subject to subject and ranged from 1:10 to 1:50. The professors were well versed with there subjects. The exams were based on the discussions held in classes. The exams were held in time and were easy to pass. If you attended the classes.

See through the eyes of a Researcher!

Placement Experience:

For B.Tech and M.Tech there are plenty amount of options they have. They can choose packages from 12 LPA to crores even. As I'm doing Ph.D. from IIT what I can say is Post - a doctoral research career is good to go if we are opting to be lecturers. Otherwise, industries are also preferred by Chemists who synthesize compounds.

The best college for my PhD

Admission:

The candidate has to have a minimum requirement of a masters degree in planning education or any other similar field of study. After applying for the college, I attended an entrance exam conducted by the college which was followed by a personal interview by the college officials.

Good curriculum and overall technical exposure is excellent

I decided to pursue a PhD in Physics. IIT-Delhi is rich in imparting knowledge and offers a wide infrastructural advantage. At IIT-Delhi clearing NET examination is mandatory after which interviews are conducted twice in a year (in May for July session and in Nov-Dec for January session). After the interview the shortlisted candidates are allowed to interact with their choice of supervisors and with the mutual consent of student and supervisor, one can join the Ph. D. course
