Remarks

The college is old and is maintaining a good record since 2001. Student teacher relation is good. Teachers are attentive and helps the student with proper guidance. The course I waswilling to study was their in the college. With the best faculty. The college is close to my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is pretty updated with latest information about discoveries and case studies. Yes industrial exposure is also provided via workshops seminars and webinars and also tech fests. The faculties were overall good, Dr Medha Bhattacharya, Dr Banani Roy Choudhury etc being some of the best

Class Size: 16Course Fees: INR 650000 per year

Placement Experience

Different companies like infosys, cognizant etc visits during placement. The placement is done via Gd rounds or in some cases interviews. Normally 7 out of 10 students gets placed from the college. So placement department has positive feedback.

College Events

Campus life is one of the best part of the college. We had events throughout the year. With tech fest, cultural fest, fresher's and several seminars that happens every year. Participation in the fests is through auditions or exams on the respective category.

The campus has a pretty big play ground with different sports club to assist in them. We are also provided Wi-Fi. Lab equipments are up to date and our library has a well collection of books related to the subjects

Hostel Facilities

Their is no hostel facility. Though PG is their with an average of 7000 each along with food and Wi-Fi and other things as per student requirements. Generally students opt to share the PG rooms with friends for the maximum being 3 in one room.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements.
