The only option for Agricultural engineering in Assam. Only at Assam University, Silchar. No other institutions are there in Assam for Agricultural engineering. It has options for B. Tech as well as M. Tech in Assam university.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a good one. The course is vast as well as interesting too. We use to learn many things where we learn about machines, surveying, levelling, and many more. Faculties are also good too and support the students in their upliftment.
Placement Experience
There are many opportunities. There are many options. Government jobs are there in many aspects. Business opportunities are also there. Available opportunities are there. One can be successful in this department where many different opportunities are there like irrigation, ADO etc.
College Events
Our university is a big one full of different cultures tribes etc. We use to celebrate every festival every occasion together. We use to celebrate Holi, Diwali, Bihu etc all together. Cultural events are also celebrated along with technical events too.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not applied for scholarships. But many scholarships are available here. Like Ishan Uday etc. It is very helpful for the needy ones. Many scholarships are available which is based upon reservation categories, percentage basis etc.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is good there. It's a big one where buses are provided inside the campus. Library facility is good here along with wifi and sports facilities are good too. Outdoor sports facilities are good too.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted for a hostel and stays in a hostel too. We have to apply for hostel and on a percentage basis and distance basis preferences are given to the students. Hostel cost is less with wifi facilities and sports facilities too.
