Kinjal Khandelwal's Review On Mata Sundri College For Women, New Delhi

Joining Delhi University has always been by goal. I got into MSC in the Second Cut-off list. Though the college was Off-Campus I took the college as it I was Getting my Preferred course Ie. B.Com Hons and it is located fairly near my house. Best part about MSC is the Societies, though not many but they can elevate your college experience. This college also provides a lot of vocational as well as certification courses which is a good compensating factor for the lack of good placement opportunities.

The course and Curriculum are up to date, although not as many General Elective options are provided compared to On campus colleges. The Academics are fairly good. The commerce department teachers are mostly supportive and always eager to teach with a few exceptions. The Faculty over all is average as some are not familiar with new ways of teachings. In my first year so far the only industrial exposure I've had is from the college society and not from the college.

Not very good as I've heard from the seniors. This year though Microsoft was one of the partners for placement. As a first year student internship opportunities and industrial exposure are lacking which is needed for a Commerce student specially. We have a placement cell in college which is trying to work hard i think i'll be able to give a better review after my second year.

In my one year of college. I have had the pleasure of conducting a Commerce fest- Comvictus with more that 1200 footfall from other colleges. The Annual Fest Saarang is also a treat, usually it is for three days but this year it was for only two days. The Societies as is said before elevate the college experience. Invictus - Commerce Society, Kayra- Western dance society, Enactus, Parindey- Drama society are some of them. We also have traditional dance societies and music societies. Almost every department is allowed a fest for themselves.

The Auditorium is fully A/C and can seat upto 500 Students. The canteen is also spacious. Overall the Campus is very small almost similar to a school due to it being at a very prime location Ie. ITO. The ground is detached from the campus. There are no green areas as most of it is occupied by buildings. There is a bank on campus which is convinient. The library is fairly good and fully A/C
