Anonymous's Review On Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women -[IGDTUW], New Delhi

The Placement of our university is commendable with our students placed at big tech companies like Microsoft, Goldmann Sachs, IBM, Amazon, Flipkart. Also situated in the heart of old Delhi, we have quite good campus life. The faculty here is highly qualified and experienced, being graduates of colleges and universities like DTU, IITs etc. Being an all girls University, it is the most popular choice for the companies to hire women tech force for their companies offering them respectable salary packages. The average salary packages offered here is approx 11 lacs.

The university has updated it's curriculum since the academic year 2019. It has not implemented CBCS which is Choice Based Credit System where the students can choose some of the subjects they want to opt for, simultaneously they have introduced the credits for each course. Overall the new system has a more well structured syllabus that focuses more on practical and hands-on experience. Also the coding environment here is quite flourishing. The seniors are sweet and helpful in guiding their juniors. The focus of the university is primarily on providing an environment where the students can learn and inculcate skills, as well as giving them exposure and making them ready to enter the corporate world.

The companies that visit and hire students are Microsoft, IBM, Goldmann Sachs, Duesche Bank, Amazon, Flipkart, Oracle. Almost all our students get placed at respectable salaries in good level tech and non tech companies as well. The Training and Placement Cell of our university is quite active and is one of the reasons why big companies visit our campus every year.

Our university has quite an active participation in completions and tournaments both nationally and internationally. We have a wide range of college societies and clubs ranging from technical and coding ones to music/dance /sports etc. We have two annual fests arranged in our campus. One is the cultural festival-Taraangana and the Technical festival-Innerve. Both of these witness a huge crowd every year. The college regularly holds seminars, completions etc in the campus with our teams actively participating in the ones being held in and around the world.

The infrastructure of the campus is quite satisfactory. On comparison to the other colleges in JAC like DTU and IIITD, the campus is not at par as the other colleges have recently built structures whereas our college hasn't been able to expand it's campus due to lack of space. Being situated in the Kashmere Gate region of old Delhi, the area is quite conjusted. But overall the university is equiped with all necessary facilities. Wifi is available to all the students. The library has all the resources and books that a student needs. The labs are well maintained and equiped.
