Remarks
I had heard that Kamala Nehru College has a very good faculty of Psychology. I was getting a honours course based on my marks that was a main reason of choosing this college. It is also very close to metro station, easy to connectivity. It also has A grading on NAAC and is a very reputed institute. It is located in a very good and safe area in South Delhi. The societies of this college are also very reputed. It has a good canteen and most importantly it has Chaupal, which is the heart if this college. The campus is small but it is very beautiful and the environment of the college is amazing.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty of my college is very knowledgeable and understanding. There are practical classes conducted but I feel there is a room for more industrial knowledge. I feel there are a lot of important topics under Psychology which are not a part of our syllabus. I am in my first year so I haven't met many teachers but Yogeeta Ma'am and Itisha Ma'am are two amazing teachers who have taught me.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are not very good in my college. There is a placement cell in the college which tries to bring good companies but they most take commerce people and the rate and opportunities are not very good. I don't have any experience myself as I am in my first year but I have heard from my seniors that it's better to prepare for a master's degree than to rely on campus placement.
College Events
The campus life is amazing in the College. There are a lot of societies run by motivated girls. There is sports, cultural events, departmental events and many more things. The life is very happening inside the college as every week or so there is some amazing event happening. We also had Diwali Mela held this time, it was arranged at a very big level. I don't think there are technical events held in the college because it mostly has humanities subjects. The participation in all the events is in a large number. There is a theater festival organised every year in the college, which is done on a very large scale. The societies also participate in outstation competitions.
Campus Life
I don't really like the infrastructure of our college. The classrooms are small and there are not enough tables and chairs to accommodate a class of 60 people. There is no wifi for students. Due to some reason even our phone network loses it's connectivity. Sports facilities are good, I have heard as I am not involved in sports. The library is amazing, it is spacious and has many books and there is a proper way of keeping a record. The labs are okay but I feel it could be more advanced.
