Remarks

I am really interested in this course and Kamala Nehru College, the college that I am presently a part of, has one of the best PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT in the entire Delhi University, so I took admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

I find it quite comfortable. Our faculty members are really nice and sweet. Also their teaching strategies are great. Specially our present HOD Dr. Geetesh Nirban ma'am she is an amazing teacher and an amazing human being. One will definitely enjoy her classes.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 9700 per year

Placement Experience

Good. This my seniors told me but since I have no such intentions so I haven't investigated it that much. Mine is a pure humanitarian stream so post graduation is mandatory for me. But I have seen that the placement cell of our college is quite active.

College Events

Amazing is the only word that I have to this question. But since I have to answer it in a specific word limit so, I would like to add that this year we didn't have our college fest but I have heard that it is quite good. But we did have our Diwali fest and that was fine, I mean I didn't like it that much.

Fees and Financial Aid

No idea since it's just been one semester. But I have heard that there are many scholarships for deserving and meritorious students. Let's see what'll happen once the first year gets complete. Let's hope for the best.

Campus Life

So, our campus isn't that big in comparison to other DU colleges but our college is in the vicinity of a very posh area. The college has many trees which makes it very pleasant specifically the Chaupal area.Also the is a home to many birds. We have two auditoriums and all the classes are mostly clean, the toilets are also mostly clean.

Hostel Facilities

That's also fine with all the facilities like food, AC and other things of daily use like doctor service on call, and washing of the dishes, housekeeping. All we need to do is need wash our clothes ourselves. The college is nearby so I go on foot to the college but auto service is also available.

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

There is a placement cell in Hansraj College which does provides placements of highest package around 25 lakh of last year and being median package around 7 lakhs, but this for selective courses like economics and BCom Honours and computer science Honours & few of mathematics honours while rest of the courses required to have different kind of skill sets can also go for placement depending up on the role that the companies bring to be hired for

DTU is Totally Worth Spending Time At!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Tale of a First Year

Placement Experience:

The college Offers campus placements which are mostly in the private sector. Students are eligible for Campus Placements after Completing the 4th semester or we say on completion second year. Many companies are brought on board By the placement cell of the college. In this list also Mkinsey, EY, KPMG, Which are some of the prominent rulers of their industries. The median package offered to UG was 6 lakhs per annum, Top 9 students were offered a median salary of 9,00,000 per annum. Around 490 were placed From campus placements of the college out of 1300 students eligible For the placements, These are only approximate figures and not exact. The highest package offered from the college is around 14,00,000 per annum. Talking about my plans after getting the degree is going for highest studies, Either Masters in economics or MBA in business economics.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

KNC, DU honest review as someone from outside Delhi

I applied for multiple other colleges in DU. Like hindi, Venky and SBSE. I was alloted by CUET according to my prefernce list.
