Course Curriculum Overview

One need to chose either mechanical or electrical specialisation in 2nd year. The course is of 4 year and mainly traing based. A no. of power plant situated nearby, like durgapur power ltd.

Internships Opportunities

Generally provides internship with almost no stipend. The experience and exposure is best in country. The max provides some stipend nearly 15k the project done in internship helps in placement.

College Events

Cultural feast every year at april month is known as zephyr, which includes tech feast and cultural celebration and ends with a band (english or bengali).

Fee Structure And Facilities

At our time tution fees 40000 per semister, development fees 3000 per semister.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 5:1, parties are in culture , 3-4 events each year. Make the life festive through out. No question of racial abuse or sexual abuse. System is very strict on ragging, bengalis will be more in number but they are more or less help seeking then helpful.

Placement Experience:

The Students here can apply for CDC Placements in Final Year and if I tell about B.Tech. Specifically then in 7th Semester of their course. Many prominent companies visit here for recruiting the brilliant minds like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Intel, Qualcomm, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, IBM, Texas Instruments, Tata Steel, L&T, Bajaj Auto, Flipkart, American Express, Infosys, Wipro, PwC....and many more. There isn't any data provided by our institute to us stating of the highest and average package by particular comapanies and the profiles offered. But I can tell you of my department's 2023-24 CDC Placement drive: We had the highest no. of offers that is 128. Highest offer made was 1.4Cr INR pa and Median and average package offered were 21-22 lakhs pa and 25-26 lakhs pa respectively. almost 87% students had got placed in the last placement season. The 2024-25 Placement season isn't over now, but till Dec 2 2024, again we had the highest no. of offers that is 20. If I talk about my future plans, I want to go into reasearch in VLSI Industry in future as the VLSI is Tech of the future.

1-I applied for most of Bengal's prestigious colleges like IEM, Heritage, Netaji Shubhash and of course Jadavpur University. I ended up going to NPTI DURGAPUR for its well know single branch coree stream of Power engineering and also its presence only in two institutes i.e.Jadavpur and NPTI. 2-No quota availed, got it through WBJEE. 3-The last rank of admission was 4500, luckily I had 1993 as my WBJEE rank.
