Review of my engineering college

College management was very helpful, strict and disciplined.

Course curriculum was divided into 3 modules for each year (total 4). Am not much sure about the current curriculum. While I was studying the exams were conducted by the university of kerala. Now it has moved to the central technical university. They gave us enough of exposure to the current industry and technical updates.

During my course, there were no much core company recruitments happening as part of the campus placements. Almost all the companies which came in were from the IT or ITES sectors. This was one of the drawbacks, which for the other department students it was difficult to get placed. If they tried to get placed, they were unwillingly moved to IT industry from their interests.

We had different technical and cultural festivals in our college. The main event called the crossroads was one of the all india intercollegiate cultural fest that happened every year. And the 4 days during which it happened was the best part during college life. Also departmental technical fests for the civil and mechanical departments were also of much fame.

The fee structureduring when we were studying was comparatively higher than today. During our time it was mostly the community seat and the nri seats which were available. Later when the merit seats came in, the fee structure also changed and the transparency became higher.

I did not opt any scholarship or educatio. Loan. So am not much aware of it. However I am aware that both these were availed by other students.

The campus life was a bit strict but still we enjoyed to our fullest and the gender of our class was almost 50-50. We had youth festivals happening. And our college was always one which represent our university in the nationals. There was no kind of cultural or any other kind of bias in our college.

Alumni networks are happening well established in other countries than in the state. Each year one or the other events are conducted by the alumnus in the colege.

Engineering entrance exam and then get the enrollment. There was an interview. I got in with the community merit seat. I chose civil engineering as I knew this is one of the best engineering coleges in kerala which has the best of its faculties and facilities.

I would give a 4 out of 5 for the faculty. Though in some semesters we had an inconsistent alignment of the faculties, we were able to manage and the faculties were very much helping throughout and they were all much experienced and qualified. Each subject experts were dedicately concentrating on their respective subjects without giving us much burden, guided us through the subjects by givin real time experiences.
