Remarks

It’s a decent college with a good reputation. The are good principles of this college that we can learn and live.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

We had the CBCS system in our batch for the first time in graduation. We had the opportunity and option to choose from other disciplines. It gave us an overall grasp of the things which we wouldn’t get if we had only our core papers. there is also tutorial system which checks on our doubts, we had mentors also. The attendance marks pushed us To attend classes regularly.

Placement Experience

1

There is no placement for our as such perhaps it is the nature of the course. but other departments like BMMC seem to have a lot of opportunities and besides it is one of the only colleges in DU that offers this course. So regardless, there were notices of placements and yea, we had placement opportunities for which we could apply but it came with so many conditions that it is not feasible.

College Events

2.5

College day, Independence day Club and soc events Republic day Teachers day Annual fests Grad dinner Prom night Paper presentations Debates Art contests Musical events Sports Mach past Tours Adventure tours Department festivals Educational workshops Counseling

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very expensive. But there were no other payments required to secure admission. We pay around 22 thousand including exam fees per year. They are transparent with the breaking down. The college administrators are very organized and skilled. The office staffs are strict.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are limited scholarship for top students and other categories That might need help. I applied and never got any response. So I solely depended on my parents.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus has the best environment. Anywhere anytime you can read a book. that js how calm the college ambience is. There are fests but they are not as interesting as other colleges. perhaps it is the organization that is taking care of such fest or the college itself which is not interested.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Nope. The hostel rooms are very pretty and spacious. But it is a little expensive. We had to give applications and selections happen according to availability and preferences of categories. There are ample seats. Per semester it must be around 64 thousand.

Alumni/Alumna

No, there are alumni but I don’t know how they function. Doesn’t look of much help and use. Personally I know a few seniors and that’s how I get information.

Admission

Yes. Once the cut off list came out I went to verify my documents and registration in Arts faculty and then went for final admission in the college. Took 3 days to complete the whole process. Payment is online. The admission is on the basis of first come first serve given that ou qualify under the merit list and also the cut off. Since I am a DU graduate, I took the admission through merit list and not entrance.

Faculty

4

In our department there are 8 professors. the assistants are mostly PG and scholars. They are very wise with the division of papers among them and we got the right teacher for every paper. There is inter college paper presentations, debates and other events that put us to test our skills and also allowed us to form a relationship with our teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
