Average WBUT college.

Overall an average engineering college, labs have improved a lot though now.

I took west bengal Joint entrance examination and rank was something around 17000 opted for this college as I was getting my preferred stream.

Branch was applied electronics and Instrumentation engineering. Course included details about electronics both digital and analog instrumentation details like process control and other electronics and computer science subjects.

There is no internship which is arranged by the college whether paid or non-paid all internships were arranged by students themselves and the reports had to submitted to the college after completion of the same.

Job opportunities and placements were bare minimum there were a few pool campus from MNCs but the hiring was negligible. Few other pool campus of not so famous companies which hired a few.

College organized cultural and technical fests which were actually organized on a big scale and received participation from various other colleges as well apart from that few intra-college sports events are held.

Semester fees are same as per WBUT regulations however they charge a one time amount at the beginning of course for a laptop but the laptop they provide is not up to configuration standard.

College offers no scholarship or loan facility to students. Students have to arrange everything themselves for their assignments.

Campus life is balanced i was not a hostel resident so i am not sure of the hostel arrangements but students had fun during technical and cultural fests and other sports events.

College provided hostels for both boys and girls which are quite normal and clean college canteen in very small and only thalis are available taste of food varies day to day.

We were the first batch of our college so we did not have any seniors however the juniors had a very strong interaction with the seniors. Alumni is not much active in the college.

Students have to take mid-term exams twice every semester apart from that practical lab exams are taken and the main semester exam.

Faculty is kind of mixed we had lecturers who were really knowledgeable and helpful but most of them left the college or were transferred to other branch some were average.
