I took JEE (mains) examination scored 108. I chose this because thic college was mediocre at that time and was close to my home.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electives can not be chosen by each individual student, college authority chooses it . In 5th semister object oriented programming I.e Java is elective subject for all cse students.
Internships Opportunities
No internships but a Infosys training program in which not all students are informed to take the test, thus partiality by faculties. No stipend whatsoever.
Placement Experience
If you good you get job. Tata AIG , sSome less known companies came this year & took 50% students with job. I do not remember the names of companies but most were IT companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Rupees 4000 were given to all girl students under west Bengals kanya shiksha yojana . Education loan at cheap interest rate by government not by college.
Campus Life
In cse ratio is 1/2 . in other streams 1/10. more than 50% Bengali , others are Punjabi , bihari etc . sports , singing computer games debate competitions held in September otganised by 3rd year students , 1st year students are also given management jobs.
Hostel Facilities
Rupees 4000 hostel charges per month with fooding and lodging . Hostel rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every sunday. One has to go to canteen to eat by showing coupons. Only covers two meals a day.
Alumni/Alumna
Good and supportive senior students . Pass out students even participates in cultural events . Its only the fifth year of the college. So very poor alumni network with less members.
Exam Structure
I would say chilled out because the syllabus is huge but done in friendly manner. Two slot tests of 15 marks are held each semester through which internal marks are given .
Faculty
Maximum facultys are good, only few are bad. In my stay I found only 2 bad teachers who, one reached as if he is teaching himself, other just did not allow you in class if you do not obey her.
