Course Curriculum Overview

The exam structure is good. There are 2 sessional which has 30- 30 marks. Out of 2 sessional best of 2 is used and added to your final mark. 20 marks are in teacher hand. They provide marks based on attendance, assignment,quiz, viva.and 50 marks is there for final exam

Placement Experience

Placement for CSE and ECE branch is average but for civil and mechanical the placement is very bad. Also the placement committee is not good.

College Events

Apratim- it is a college fest which is organised every year. It is 2 day program. On 1 st day it is a dj night. And 2 and day it is star night. Some singer come and perform. There are also Many program organised by students like jagrata which is very good and patth is also organise in college

Fee Structure And Facilities

65000 on an average per year. We have to pay this in installments. 1 st installment is around 25000 and send is around 32000. It include all expenses like colleges fees, tution fee, exam fees. It is good and less fees as compared to any other colleges in Chandigarh

Fees and Financial Aid

I got merit scholarship from college twice. Which is good support for me. I am in top 6 in my college that's why scholarship is given

Campus Life

Campus life is good, made good friends. gender ratio is overall equal but in mechanical stream there is less no of girl. Out of 78 students there are 4 girl and 74 boys which is not good. There are many group in college like Beatle, draame baaz, apostle etc

Hostel Facilities

No because I belongs to Chandigarh. I regularly ho to my college via bike.i don't need hostel. Overall hostel is good but the meal must be changed every month because hosteller are eating same menu in a week.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are supportive as one student can understand second student. They are helpful. And alumuni network is good

Admission

My primary choice is mechanical engineering. And this is a govt colleges that's why I join this college. But after spending 3.5 years at that college I realise my decision is wrong.the infrastructure us good. The placement is not good there. The placement committee is best.

Faculty

They are good. They have knowledge but some teacher can't have interested to give their knowledge. Overall faculty is good. But there needs to be improvement. Teaching habit should be inprove. But some teacher really cares their students. Overall teacher are good

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

Okay so for getting admission in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology Sector 26 Chandigarh 1st you have to give JEE mains exam for that exam you have to attempts in a year provided by NTA. After giving JEE mains exam you have to apply for Jack Chandigarh counselling that takes place after the JEE mains result has been declared they are total free rounds for that Chandigarh counselling and after the three rounds there are some rounds for spot rounds. If you are looking to get admission in computer science or electronics plans then you have to achieve at least 5260000 rank in JEE mains if you come from general quota and other state there is 85% reservation for students that are in Chandigarh and 15% for other state quota. So as another state quota student and as a hostess and as a computer science student I would recommend you to achieve at least 50000 to 60000 rank if you are looking for CSE or electronics branch in our college....Read More

CCET- an decent college if you want to learn and discover yourself along with knowledge

Firstly,one should have appeared and scored decent marks in JEE MAINS and have to apply through JAC CHANDIGARH counselling and opt for this college. And should have 50% or above in 12th The application for gets out around after JEE MAINS session 2 and can be found on google easily.
