Remarks

Overall it is a decent college to study in. No matter how much you hate this college or will give you memories that you will cherish for your lifetime. Enjoy study and make best ymuse if resources.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It's not research driven. It's totally academics based. Main focus is on exams by the teachers as well as the students. That's eqaute to very short term knowledge and not actually knowing things for a longer period of time which in this profession is not good at all.

Placement Experience

5

Internship happens in Lok nayak jay prkaash hospital which is associated with our college. Placements in future are also pretty much good given the brand name. You get around 23 thousand in your internship and around 80 thousand once you join post graduation in any Delhi college.

College Events

4

There are two main events or festivals celebration in our college. One is Goonj which is a itracollege festival consisting of sports, cultural and other activities. And the other is Synapse which is an itercollege festival in which all other colleges are also allowed to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Super feasible fee structure. You pay around 2-4k tution fee for the whole year. Additional fees included hostel fees which is around 6k per year and mess charge is not included in this fees. Library security money is 2k which is refundable. Other things such as gym and swimming pool are charged at 300-500 per month if you opt for that.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn' opt for any college scholarships. But yes our college does provide scholarship to students from economically weaker sections.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is pretty much happening if you are not a boom worm. Gender ratio unlike national ratio is pretty much encouraging. Lots of parties and workshops are on the way if you happen to take interest in such activities. Politics is almost nill unlike other DU colleges.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes the hostel rooms are pretty much well maintained given its a government college. You have different varieties of room. I. First year you get a 4- seater room which is gradually cha ged to a single seater as the course progress.

Alumni/Alumna

Maulana Azad Medical College holds a very strong alumni network and is super proud of it. Doctors of this College are spread all across the world at great positions.

Admission

Neet entrance exams. Top rankers get to choose this College. Session starts by August. If you have a Delhi quota you can afford a rank lower down but if you are planning by all I did quota then you need to be in top 50 in the common entrance test. Admission process is pretty much simple.

Faculty

3.5

It's difficult to say the tentative lectures because many lectures don't happen. Teachers are well qualified, Cream as they say. Mostly are pass outs of the same college or some other college of Delhi university. Lectures are pretty much excpet except a few professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
