Remarks

College takes decisions firmly and we do not need to worry about them, this helps us to progress with our academic work. The rules and regulations are all fine and I never had problems with them.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course over here are well structured, research oriented. The faculties are really good and helpful. Even the phd scholars interact with us frequently. Many students get placed to different companies from here. For engineering students industrial visits occur very often. Examinations are regularly taken under strict sdministration.

Placement Experience

4

Many companies come for engineering students. For post-graduate students companies like Byjus, aakash, Fitjee come. Summer internships are compulsory for the students in my college. I got a chance of doing it at NCRA(TIFR Pune). Every year 50% students opt for placement and 25% are placed. Usually a written round is followed by an interview for a placement. Our college makes us practice for these in an online mode.

College Events

5

NIT Rourkela has a lot of fest like Innovision, Cosmopolitan fest, NITRutsav, Hall days, Garden fest. These fests have competitions, fun activities, dj nights, celebrity nights, food arrangements. For example in cosmopolitan fest all the traditional dance and music forms are performed on stage.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee structure is expensive. The course fee is about 2 lacs in 2 years. The college accepts online mode of payment or demand draft mode. The college has provided us with the beakups of the college fees. There are many amenities available like gym, swimming pool free of cost.

Fees and Financial Aid

I receive INSPIRE scholarship. I applied for it after passing higher secondary. Since I secured a good marks and a percentile score of 99.75 I got selected for this scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Gender(male:female) ratio in campus is about 3:2. Campus life is really good and enjoyable. We get our library accessible for the whole day. The other facilities are medicinal store, hospital, swimming pool, gym, student activity center, data center, etc. We have a lot of fests all throughout the year. No violence is allowed in the campus. No political issues are allowed. We have a very strict administration and the ultimate decision is taken by the senate. We have a club called Rainbow dot on LGBTQ. Labs are well equipped with instruments. All sorts of competitions happen. Also workshops on robotics, autocad, etc. happen

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes. The hostel rooms are small and we have doubly shared rooms. There are also triply and singly shared rooms. Hostel is compulsory for everyone. Hostel is well decorated and the washrooms are regularly cleaned.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are really helpful and interacting. They have helped me a lot in lending books, lending me study materials. The faculties are also really helpful. They guide us a lot for making our project works successful.

Admission

I love physics so I did my B.Sc. from St. Xavier's College. I also desired to pursue a masters course so I appeared for JAM exam. I had AIR 650. JAM is an all India examination for M.Sc. in different IIT and NIT. I started going through the college's profiles, faculties, research options. Then through CCMN site we filled up our choices of institutes and subjects. NIT Rourkela was my first choice. Then in second counselling I got NIT Rourkela. I paid all the required counseling fees and confirmed my seat. My college provided me the admission dates that was 28 and 29 July. So I reached the college on 28th. I had to fill up the admission form, submit the demand draft and got my hostel allotted. I then headed towards my hostel.

Faculty

4

Faculties are highly qualified. For M.Sc. physics department each of them had done 2 post docs mostly from abroad. They are really experts in the subjects they teach. They entertain questions of various types. We have one tutorial class for each teacher per week. They guide us well for project works.

I personally like the contemplative aspect of this course that isn't available at any other universities, this fact itself makes this university unique on itself and it helps with your mental health and it's truly amazing considering that we're students of psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a lecturer so i choosed the royal course Masters in zoology rather than any other specialisation course. And the course Masters of Science in Zoology, Botany is provided by very few private universities in Odisha and AIPHU is one of them i think probably the best one. Faculty do come and leave but there replacement is done simultaneously. The faculty student ratio is normal. Most of the faculty members have completed there PhD as well as Post Doctorial research from foreign universities and medical. Our faculty focus on building strong foundation. They start from basics and teach the difficult topics in very simpler way. We have two midterms each of 1 hours and of 100points which get converted to 20 marks. And one endterm of 50 marks and 10 marks for internal assessment. Midterms are brainstorming but it makes us thorough in specific units which makes endterm exam easier.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this allows me to delve deeper into the passion for understanding animal life and their biological processes. Secondly, this is also a step towards my goal to become a researcher. The faculty members at our university are very dedicated, highly qualified, with their post-docs from a renowned university and are very cooperative. They teach us in a very friendly way, and their passion for research enriches the academic environment. The difficulty level for term exams is medium, neither too hard nor too easy, and requires hard work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.
