Quite good. I would definitely recommend it provied you can live upto the discipline standards.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since it follows MAKAUT syllabus, it is not up to date. But faculty are there for extra knowledge if you approach them. Research facilities and entrepreneurship opportunities are also there for the ones who show interest in it. The college also conducts periodic examinations.

Course Fees: INR 324000 per year

IEM boasts of 100% and during my year, around 20-25 companies visited the campus. It also provided us with internship during 3rd year.

College Events

Technical Fest, Cultural Fest and E-Week are celebrated with great enthusiasm. The rech fest is one of the largest in the state and the E-Cell has won many awards in the entrepreneurship events. We have also invited many eminent guests in our cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is quite affordable. My total four years fees was 324000 out of which 20000 rupees was refunded as caution money. Apart from this, 1200 rupees was charged per semester for examination. Basically within 3.1 lakhs, my entire engineering was done.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not opt for education loan. Also the scholarship facility was not present during our time.

Campus Life

Campus Life is null to be honest. There is no campus at all but a single building. If you're lucky, your classroom will have windows at the back. But the education quality was top notch. The laboratories were great and mostly all equipments worked. The gender ratio was quite good as well except in Mechanical stream.

Hostel Facilities

No I was a day scholar. My college was about one hr from my house and hence I didn't avail the hostel facility. However I have had friends who had opted to stay in IEM Boys as well as IEM Girls hostel.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Not that I am aware of. We do have annual alumni meets in Kolkata as well as Bangalore and many attend the event.

Admission

The college accepts admissions from wbjee as well as jee main. You need to be among the best of students in order to secure a seat at IEM since the last rank which gets admitted here is by 4,000. Apart from that there is Management Quota too where the fees is quite high.

Faculty

Friendly and easy to approach. You can ask your doubts during the class hrs, during recess or even after and before college hrs. They are also available over call so you can call them up before exams in order to clear any doubt. They are regular in classes as well.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
