Remarks

Excessive power with Students Union but on the contrary the teachers do cover an extra mile for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is as per the Calcutta university's curriculum and guidelines. There are two semesters and two sets of internal examinations. The college strongly adheres to the Calcutta university guidelines and curriculum which in return provides the students one of the best in class education from one of the top universities in the country

Placement Experience

3

The placement is quite average and as per the industry benchmark the college does average as far the placements are concerned moreover as far as the internships are considered the picture is almost the same and students have to walk an extra mile to get an internship that not only boosts their profile but also provides a plethora of knowledge.

College Events

3.5

The college does celebrate a lot of festivals, some of the noteworthy being the annual fest, rabindra jayanti, Independence and Republic There are also several college specific events like the founders day, music talent contest, annual dramatics festival, Fresher's party and the annual athletics meet

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible with the entire course being completed at a cost of only 15-16 thousand.being a state run college majority of the expenses are compensated out of the state budget for education thus the college asks for a very small sum of money as the fees for this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't apply or avail of any scholarship. however their are various scholarships awarded by the state government based on means and some of them being on merit as well.

Campus Life

2.5

The gender ratio is almost equal with boys being slightly Greater in number perhaps 55-45% respectively. Generally students from weaker economic sections take admission. The extra curricular activities are limited and the exposure is average to be precise.

Hostel Facilities

3

I didn't opt for hostel. The college doesn't have a hostel. PG rates are very cheap but I don't have an exact idea about the same however its generally the male students who avail of the PG or hostel facilities generally female students are from the same city.

Alumni/Alumna

Students Union is mostly helpful and help us get certain things done which they being seniors have inside knowledge of

Admission

I opted for this course as I am a CA aspirant and I needed a college that wouldn't have a very hectic schedule like that of an A listed college which would help me to go smoothly with my CA studies. The important dates of admission are around June and everything is easily available on the college's official website

Faculty

4

The faculty of this college is something that is a major attraction with majority of the professors having A PhD and the others having exemplary professional qualifications. The average number of lectures per subject per semester are around 45-50. The lectures provide a lot of insights not only about the academic bit but also about the world outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average
