There are lots of events celebrating in college. Like morning party, yoga event, teacher day, janmastami celebration, Independence Day, Republic Day, ganesh chaturthi, holi celebration, Christmas celebration and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

?125000/- for odd semester (i. e. semester 1, 3, 5) And ?100000/- for even semester(i. e. 2, 4, 6) fees includes tution fee, hostel fee, food, laundry, uniform, library fees, books and stationary. Examination fees is separate approximately 2500/- each semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have opted for education loan from punjab national bank of price 500000/- and applied for scholarship at national scholarship portal.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is very poor around 1:50 and college having physics and electronics lab, computer lab, digital library, library, Seamenship techniques Lab, Marine engineering workshop, fire fighting lab, swimming pool, sports ground and courts. And many other extra curricular activities such as debates, essay writing, quiz, sports competitions organised time to time.

Hostel Facilities

It is residential course so leaving in college hostel is compulsory and food, hostel expensive is included in fees itself. The hostel contain sharing rooms having two cadet in each room. There is separate hostel for first year in Navi Mumbai Campus.

TS CHANAKYA i. e IMU NAVI MUMBAI CAMPUS has great network in shipping industry from 1927 to now many alumni are at high positions in shipping companies.

Admission

Notification announced in INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY offical site in march to April and last date is upto last week of April or first week of May and I got selected through IMU CET (June) 2018 and secured 2115(AIR) and there was online counselling and as per choice we got selected for government college of INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY and then there was procedure for verification of documents. In upcoming year IMU may select on the basis of jee mains.

Faculty

The faculty is mainly extra master Captions with great sailing and teaching experience appointed by director general of shipping or Vice Chancellor Indian Maritime University with average age of fifty years, all faculties have great knowledge of their subjects.

like i was sure that i want a course that will give me experince about AIML with subjects like 3D design + Coding + Envoirmental studeis and all. and the course from the sandip actually have all these subjects in a single course thats why i choose this course. curriculam was good it was updated on time. the course helps me to land a internship with goverment cause i learn the basics of AI from this course. the ares of improvements should be the faculty members like they are horrible sometimes they dont even make the notes for the subjects they ask students to make notes and shared with other students. even one of the faculty member shared a playlist form youtube for a specific subject and ask us to take notes from it and prepare for exam not a single leccture he takes at that time. the frequency of the exam is also not that good cause the want us to prepare for the final semster exam which is of 6 months in just 3 months with all the paper works , projects , assignments etc etc.

The course curriculum is very good. The syllabus of the course of relevant and also helps in preparing different entrance exams for masters. Also course offers wide variety of subjects so students can have exposure to different opportunities in the field. There are also field study visits so students can get their real world experience and exposure. The external exams are a little bit hectic as the take it into a streak. There is no gaps between the exams so it is a little hectic. Also some proffessors should provide study materials to students so it will be helpful .

My honest opinion on my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I thought that zoology is most interesting to learn and its have future job opportunity. So basically zoo student are like little dr or zoologist. It provides little bit of that syllabus while learning you feel like you are dr or expert in zoology which example we experience in our day to day life. They need to add more teachers and placement opportunity. After every one and half month there is exam.

For admission in IMU, one must have 10+2 with having atleast 60% in pcm and atleast 50 % in english. The application forms of IMUCET are released in may- june, application fees is 1000 rupees. SC/ST and OBC enjoys the benefits of reservation and are even relaxed with age limit. Entrance exam was not held on 2020 and 2021 and the admissions were based on intermediate and pcm percentage. I have applied for Tolani Maritime University along with the Indian Maritime University. I have cleared both of the exams. The reason I don't opt for TMI(Tolani Maritime University) as it has too many fees for the BSc Nautical Science program. The reason I opt for Indian Maritime University is that the university is a government University and fees are also reasonable for the program and placements are good. You have to fill the IMU-CET exam for entrance.
