One of oldest institute for graduation in Nagaon

For the three year BA Philosophy program the college adheres to the guidelines of the Gauhati University in regards to the syllabus and course curriculum. University has adopted a pattern of examination whereby semester wise system is seen in progress. Apart from that internal evaluation and tests are conducted on a regular basis.

The college offers soft skill and recruitment skills training through the placement cell. However this doesn't translate into good placement rates as no regular campus drive or company visit takes place. It has to be managed by the students for getting into good companies. Internship support is not provided from the side of college and in case of my course it is not compulsory to do an internship.

Fees is affordable and low in comparison to the quality of education that is offered. The fee for the entire course stands around Rs 18, 000 to 20,000. This has to be submitted in three installments that is one at the time of taking admission for the first year and the next 2 at the start of respective academic year.

Scholarships are offered through various program at National, district and state level. Some of the common scholarship programs are the central National scholarship and the district merit scholarship program through which student can avail the benefit. Apart from this scholarship educational loan also act as a good source of financial assistance which are offered from the side of banks.

Event celebrations are not so much elaborate or grand it's just that common events like this sports fest, annual fest etc organised by the college. extra curricular activities are there to be engaged in but again there is not much to offer. Though infrastructure wise the college has good set up like a nice library, well equipped classrooms, good and nice seminar hall, playground etc.

I got the admission in this college based on merit at the 10 + 2 level. Marks of the student in aggregate in class 12th or equivalent are the basis for getting admission into any course offered by the college. Applications are required to be submitted through online or offline mode after which the college calls for document verification and completion of other formalities. The institute is one of the oldest institute for graduation in the district and is a popular choice for students looking to pursue graduation.

The faculty members in the college are quite experienced and the one thing is that they have obtained high level of education say upto M.Phik and P.hD level in the respective disciplines. The teaching pedagogy and question solving approach is good.
