Remarks

The only bad thing is transport is not up to the mark. But our college provides buses for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and exam structure are quite good. As this college is affiliated with the makaut university, the curriculum and the exam structure is according to the university. My total number of the semester is 8. Every semester has 6 months time.

As I am studying in 1st year I have not faced any interview yet. But I come to know from our seniors that our college provides us with so many opportunities during placement.

College Events

Our college organised so many cultural and technical programs like fresher's welcome, teachers day, international women's day, technical fests like online coding contest, PubG and pes tournament. Our college also celebrates Biswa Korma Puja, Saraswati puja, cricket tournament, double badminton, football tournament, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

mode of payment for semester fees - google pay, phone pay, Paytm, and RTGS offline mode - demand draft. N.B - check and cash payment are not allowed. College provides a fees book where all transaction of semester fees are mentioned.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, college provides no scholarship but I got a scholarship from the West Bengal govt. 1st year I got 27500 rs scholarship.

Campus Life

The college infrastructure is very very good, classrooms, labs, seminar hall all are well decorated. The college has a lot of equipment for practical labs. Our college organizes technical and cultural fest every year. Students are given a participation certificate for taking part in infest, sports.

Alumni/Alumna

Our campus is ragging free, seniors are very good. The relation between seniors and juniors are good.

Admission

I got admitted to this college in the month of July. I needed my wbjee rank card for admission. JEE Main candidate can also apply for admission. Students can apply for admission through counselling process after wbjee and JEE Main examination. This college is affiliated to MAKAUT University.

Faculty

All faculty members are well educated from renowned universities. They teach us very well. They always help us with our learning. Even in this current lockdown situation they try their best for helping in our study through online classes and online examinations.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Don't be a minimum guy, Choose GKCEM

It’s Greater Kolkata College of engg and mgmt. under JIS group is one of the best colleges around for students. Though my department of Mechanical Engineering is favorite for its labs, facilities, faculties and it is as good in other sections also. Certainly, our college provides adequate infrastructure and quality teaching of the faculty members here. This college is affiliated to MAKAUT University and many top companies visit the campus during placements. The senior are quite helpful to the juniors.Its an anti ragging campus.
