Engineering campuses and placements

College campus is small as compared to different colleges but It is in the center of the town.

Basically, in the 4 year course duration. 1st year generally focuses on the basic concepts regarding the subject, which we are going to need for the next 3 years of life. 2nd & 3rd year are the stages where we are introduced with machines and different equipments or you can say instruments. 4th year is about final year project, campussing and farewell. Placements are awesome here. around 200 companies visit our college.

Placements are far better than any other colleges. For. CS and IT only. There are 144 companies. Companies like Microsoft, amazon also visits our campus. I haven't done any internship, because I have different plans for my career.

Lots of events occur in our college, like sports fest, technical fest, cultural fest. They are one of the best thourough out whole Kolkata. The technical fest is one of the 2nd largest technical fest thourough out Kolkata, around 10000 people participates in this event. The cultural fest is no less than the technical fests, Bollywood singers are invited, lots of fun etc.

My course fee is 4 lakhs, around 1 lakh per year, So they are feasible. Additional charges are. like exam fees of 1200 every semester. Yes, the college provides transparency in fees structure. You have to pay an advance fee for that semester, otherwise late fine will be charged.

College do provides scholarship and all for the student who are from lower class family from the state itself. I don't know much about it.

Male to. female, ratio is around 2:1, you cannot say as parties, we creates different groups and clubs for different activities. For example, there is a different group for technical committee, as well as for cultural and sports. There is no such thing as racism or politics in our campus.

I went to hostel for 1st year, the food and accommodation was average, but there are some problems regarding bathouroom time consumption, so we rented a flat. near our college for better facility which is actually costlier but easy to handle.

College seniors are very helpful and to be honest they are the best thing that could happen with us. Faculties are also very supportive. They guide us and help us to develop our capability.

They conduct an entrance exam for whole colleges of west bengal. Named WBJEE(west bengal joint engineering examination) I gave the exam on 17th may, 2016. Then after the exam results, choice filling and college selection processes were there (Counseling process) after that admissions.

Classes are held 6 days in week. Around 4 lectures per day. So, no worries for classes. Average passing age is around 22-23 years. Class lectures are basically full theory based. You will not have any insight of industry experience but during labs, you will get it.
