Remarks

There's no such baad remark of our college. It just the matter of what you think. As good points, this college given me many opportunities to live happily. Participation in fests and volunteering helped me for making more friends. I am really enjoying my college life I can say. If you are searching for a good, happy college life along with good education, Xavier's stood first.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The exam pattern is simple. There are total 6 semester for 3 years. Xavier's take two CIA (Continuous internal assessment) which are a kind of two unit tests/ sessional exams. Both are of 20 marks each, total 40 and remaining 60 marks are added as end semester examination which happens in last month of each semester. There are total 3 main subjects along with one vocational course. We can choose any combination of subjects for us which is available.

Placement Experience

4

For my course as BSc, there are no placements. But for arts and Bmm and Bms, there are.The college is very famous for it's placement offers. Companies like TATA CAPITAL FEDERAL BANK COGNIZANT IBM UBS L&T INFOSYS WIPRO DELOITTE ODESSA TECHNOLOGIES ZOMATO PWC MU SIGMA VIACOM RECKITT BENCKISER FUTURES FIRST HDFC BANK GOOGLE TITAN ICRA GODREJ Visited college from past few years. Xavier's encourage students for interviews and all and motivate them to tackle every question. Students with good skills can get up to 25 lacs per annum. Also average salary for students is 4-6 lacs per annum.

College Events

5

MALHAR is a renowned fest of our college. People from different states participates in it. Not only Malhar but also various technical, cultural fests take place every year. Janfest and Istoria are famous fest. Also different activities take place in college campus every week. Participation in such fests and all is too high to control. So students of Xavier's took part as workforce as volunteer for these fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College fees is very low. As it is an autonomous institution, it recieves funds and all from government. For my course, fees is around 23-25 thousands for 3 years. Each year, it is around 6-8 thousands. There are no additional fees rather than breakage and late fee. Mode of payment is only CASH.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers government scholarships, summer programs, internships, and all. Eligibility criteria Changes for particular thing. Mostly eligibility is decided on your GPA and curriculum activites.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio is equal. Ragging is banned in campus. Untill now and then. There's no such thing like social conflict happened in college. There are many students group inside campus for every kind of help. There is no diversity among students. This college provides you the frank atmosphere where religion language caste doesn't matter. Everyone is accepted.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Boys hostel is inside campus. Seats for boys hostel are around 60 per year. Hostel selection is merit wise, students with high percentage may get hostel easily. There is no girls hostel inside campus. Each semester the fees is around 40000-60000. There are many pgs and private hostels available outside College. Prices are high Unless and until you find a cheaper one.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very strong. Famous personalities like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Gavaskar, Salman Khan, etc are from this college. Senior students are very helpful in case of everything, they provide us notes and important things. They helped us in understanding this college in very better perspective. They also arranged talks where we interact with each other. They also arranged a college trip for FYs who are new to this college. Bonding is very good.

Admission

Xavier's is an esteemed institute which is famous for it's faculty and courses, I really liked that it is a college which carries out various extra curricular activities along with different fests and programmes. Staff and student both are very good as in particular interests and subjects.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of Xavier's is very good. We can choose 3 subjects with one vocational subject where there are 6 teachers allotted. One teacher for vocational subject and each subject have 2 teachers teaching different sub topics. You can easily contact teachers as their email ids are given on college website. There are total 25-30 lectures per subject for each semester. On average teachers are all around 40-60 years old. Few teachers are young while some are old, there's no specific age type thing. The whole faculty members for each subject holds Phd. There are total 6-7 teachers in each subject faculty. Very few are there who are still holding MS degree.

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
